The sounds of crickets flew through the air as night soon fell. I was wearing a loose t-shirt and a pair of sweatpants. They had a key-like pattern on them that were the color gold. The basic shirt and pants itself was blue. Outside of my apartment window, I could hear the voices of reporters and a crowd.
"Lucy! Hey, Lucy Heartfilia! How is it being chosen for Smile!? Hey! Lucy! Come out of your apartment and answer our questions you lowlife!"
I felt a tick mark form on the back of my head. I swung open my window and yelled at the top of my lungs. "GO AWAY AND GET ACTUAL PAYING JOBS YOU JERKS!" I slammed the window shut and hugged my legs as I fell to the floor.
I can't believe this is happening to me. I always thought I just had crummy luck, but turns out I'm just cursed.
I groaned and rubbed my tired eyes as I got up. There were a few murmurs from outside, but most of the news reporters left knowing that they weren't going to get a juicy story off of me.
It was half-past midnight and my eyes felt like bricks, but I still refused to fall asleep. Heck, I feared it. Once my eyes were shut, I knew I would be sent into the world of Smile. I kicked a chair that was leaning against my desk.
"DANGIT!" I yelled and then I fell face first on my bed, crying and yelling into my soft pillow. I had never experienced family relationships or love like my parents had before they...

Died...
I wanted to experience my life to the fullest, but that was considered impossible, especially after being an 'orphan' who spent most of her childhood at FairyTail Camp. I gripped my long, blonde hair as my eyes fluttered. Just before I couldn't hold my eyes open, I heard a hum through my ears.

The last thing I remember seeing was a framed photo of my mother, father and I, but their faces were smudged with a dark, red substance and their faces were destroyed. And yet I remembered, I didn't own a picture of them. I never had. I looked above the frame and saw a small girl sitting on my dresser right beside the photo.
She had black sockets for eyes and long wavy black hair to go with her black torn up dress. The same dark substance was smudged on her dress. She looked at me and smiled.
"Time to sleep, Lucy.... Have fun....~" She pointed her finger at my face on the picture, and then a dark beam shot out annihilating my pictured face from existence. She glanced back and smiled at me as the picture had a red substance gush out from the newly made hole.
And then my eyes shut placing me in a long, long slumber.
"Another victim... Hehe.... Good luck.... Lucy...."

I woke up in an eerie hallway. My head pounded like crazy as I stood up on the creaky floorboards.
I looked at my surroundings and realized that there were no windows. There were only doors that lead to multiple different places. I glanced around the hallways and saw how they were never ending. The walls looked mossy and some parts were chipping away. I spotted a certain outdated picture on a wall and stared at it for a moment.
It had some red substance splattered on it, but I didn't mind. There was a beautiful little girl with golden locks of hair falling lightly on her shoulders. She was smiling as she was swinging on a set of swings. Her hazel eyes showed joy and excitement but a certain item she was holding was scratched, no clawed, off of the photo. Writing written in pure red was shown right under the picture.
Mama would not be proud. 1/23/1345
I felt an eerie aura around the picture and walked by in a rush, but I couldn't help but feel like a certain person from a picture was watching my every move.

I wandered around the dark, hallways for a bit. I didn't know where I was going, I just walked wherever my feet took me, until I reached a weird looking door.
Unlike the many other doors in the hallways, this door was light blue with claw marks on it. It was stained with red and it had a white, wooden door handle. I felt a dark presence from inside that sent shivers down my spine, but just as I was about to leave it alone I heard a baby's cry from within which was followed by the bloodcurdling scream of a woman.
Panic washed over me.
A mother and her child could be in there! They could be terrified...
But, I don't get a good vibe off of this particular door....
Without any other thoughts I pushed open the door only to see a woman rocking in a rocking chair, her back towards me. She started singing.

The room was dark and poorly lit. There were multiple wooden cribs that had almost all their paint chipped away. A pool of dried up blood was beneath the rocking chair in which the woman was sitting. It acted like a second coat of paint for the chair...
"Ma'am? Are you alright?"
The woman never turned around.... She just kept singing, her bushy, chocolate brown hair facing me.
Just as I was about to tap her shoulder, she stopped singing.

She turned around and hissed at me. Her mouth was stained with the blood of deceased baby lying in her arms.
My eyes widen as she sank her teeth into the baby and ripped it to shreds. I was paralyzed with fear. My legs and arms refused to move. Then, the woman got down on all fours and crawled towards me. Her mouth opened dropping the arm of the baby and some blood onto the ground. She eyed me with her hungry, pitch-black eyes. I screamed and ran for my life.
As I was running, I kept glancing back, only to see the woman crawling on the walls. She was gaining speed on me, then the unthinkable happened. I reached a dead end. I froze in my tracks as I saw the woman slowly creep up to me until I was stuck in a corner.
I shut my eyes.
Someone! Anyone! Help....
