Magical Love

Chapter 4

Marco Pov

  "I kinda have a crush on Star, please don't tell her." I whispered into Nicky's ear, and she pretended to zip her lips.

  "So, how exactly did you get here?" I asked her.

  "Well, I was walking down the street towards my friends house and I tripped and fell into a portal. I don't know who put the portal there, or why for that matter. But I ended up in this cave after a few hours of exploring." She explained.

  "We'll get you back to your friends house. Right Marco!" Star said excitedly as we made our way out of the dim cave. I squinted my eyes as they got use to the daylight.

  "Yes." I replied.

  "Thanks for the help." She said.

  "Now, where do we go exactly!" Star asked.

  "So this is a magical map, I'm guessing. Because the little red dot moved. And I'm also guessing it's us. So if I'm correct, we should head this way." She headed towards a forest full of trees with purple and blue leaves. We followed her until we spotted something moving in the trees.

  "What's that?" Nicky asked.

  "Probably just an animal. No need to be-" I was cut off by a wolf like howl, but it didn't seam like a regular howl. It sounded like it was in pain.

  "Did you hear that. It sounded like it was in pain. We have to help it!" Nicky said and ran into the direction of the howl. Star and I followed her until we found a wolf/labor mix. The weird thing was, it's fur looked like a cupcake. The ears even looked like vanilla frosting tips, and the fur was dotted with multi color sprinkles. The dog was laying on its side with one paw bent. I saw that it had blood on it.

  "It's ok, you'll get better in no time." Nicky said and pulled out a tee shirt and ripped the sleeve off. Star was patting the animal's head comfortingly. Sat down besides star and started petting her head. Nicky was rapping the cloth around her paw.

  "You see. All better." Star said.

  "Where did you learn to do that?" I asked.

  "My dad thought I should learn how to take care of myself or anybody else when they get injured. Didn't know that it would work on inter dimension animals." She said. The wolf got up and put a little pressure on her hurt leg. When she started to walk, more like limp, she came over to Nicky and licked her hand.

  "I think she likes you." Star said.

  "Yes, but she needs to go home. I can't take you back to my home. My parents would flip." The dogs ears drooped.

  "Let's go." I said and we walked off, but the dog kept following her.
