(Ava's POV)

I step into the parking lot of my school. I suddenly heard a scream which I only know belongs to my best friend Kendall.
"Avangaline Rebecca Penelope Collins! Its your flipping 16th birthday!"
I laughed awkwardly as persons were staring at us"Yes it is and I can't wait to find my mate but like seriously can we leave? Your causing people to stare with that big mouth of yours"
My name is Avangaline Collins or as Kendall and my pafents like to call me Ava. I am what you himans would call special. Well in this schooltheres nothing special about me as we are all special.
My best friends name is Kendall Fisher is looks like a classic girl next door with her blonde hair and blue eyes but don't let that look fool you she is as tough as nails and as sweet as honey.

We entered the school building and we made our way to our lockers which were side by side.
Oh by the way if you are wondering by what I ment by mate its basically the reason why I said  I was special let me explain- see I'm a werewolf-please don't scream or run away from me. I do all the things humans do and I can turn into a wolf as well. Anyways , I am an omega in the Blue Kight Pack the third largest pack in the country.
Oh so want to know what is an omega too? Well is the lowest form of wolves in a pack. They call us weak but honestly not all of us are.
And what's a pack? Gee you ask a lot of questions. A pack is a community in which a group of warewolfs live.
Anyways enough with the questions let me finish explaining.
And before you ask a mate is the one person that was made for you. It is what the humans call a "soulmate" silly really.
Anyways I got distracted I was saying that.......... Wow I don't have anything else to say, you summed it up with all your questions.
I took my books out of my locker.
"Do you smell that?" I turned to Kendall and asked.
"Smell what? Oh my God! You're probably smelling your mate!" She screamed.
Ignoring her I kept turning around in a hall to see who could be my mate. My heart leaped when I saw that the future alpha Chace Matthews walking my way.
"Mate" I whispered softly.
He looked at me and I could not decipher the look in his eyes. It was adoration mixed with disgust. I was confused.
"Mate." I whispers again.
He looked at me and started to laugh.
"Mate! She calls me her mate!" He shouted.
"If she wasn't your mate mr big shot , then why are you here?" Kendall asked.
Chace looked stunned by her statement.
"I- um- I can here to-to-to ask her to carry my bag, after all she US an omega" He sneered.
Kendall only scoffed at his statement.
Chace looked at me and said"I Chace Adam Matthews reject you Avagaline Rebecca Penelope Collins as my mate" He looked at me and I looked him staraiggt in the eyes and showed no emotion in my eyes even though I was breaking on the inside. He laughed and walked off with his friends and the entire hallway started to laugh at my expense.
"Well I might not be good enough to be YOUR mate but I will find someone who is good enough to be MY mate because you definitely AREN'T!" my shout caused the hall to become quited and Chace stopped and I could see that my world affected him.
"Oh and I accept your rejection, Alpha" I said.
He came to me and pressed me along the lockers "Go home and find something useful to do runt."
His words pierced me deeply and I only laughed and said "Well go and find something to bang like Lissa doofus"
I removed his hands from me as I could see his eyes getting dark which was a sign that hiswolf was taking control. I looked him in the eye and smirked and headed to my first class grabbing Kendall with me.
