Life is Like a Highway

They say life is like a highway, and time just zooms right on by.
And if you want to get where you're going, then you just have to drive.

But whether we like it or not, we have to take an exit.
Maybe your car stars sputtering and you have to check it.

But what if you just willingly decided to go.
Would they even care? Would they even know?

An exit is described as our 'final place for rest'.
But I think its nothing more than a simple test.

To see if you are strong enough to survive a fatal crash.
Or maybe your ex decides to take a lash.

And even though our cars have been dented and bruised.
You can still drive a car that's been used.
