Hi guys :) This will hopefully be the next story, after Broken Angel. As with all my other stories, your input will either make or break it :) This is also a Vampire/Wolf/Altered Human (and Romance Action :D) kinda tale, set in a place where Unnatural beings exist. There'll be plenty of twists and heart wrenching moments for Emma and Raiden as they fight the fates to be together again...Please leave me votes, comments and views, as this will make it easier to judge your reactions to a story like this. It's a genre I really enjoy writing, and your feedback will be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks-Recklis Xxx

Ps...To those who read this before, minor changes have been made here :)

Prologue:

Fading…

“…den…Raiden!”

Might as well stay in the darkness…it was a much better option than listening to her…

“Nuh uh!  Not so fast, handsome.”  The syrupy sweet voice was suddenly too close, too harsh.

A loud crack echoed through the room, jerking him awake as her boot made contact with the side of his chest.

His eyes squeezed tightly, breath wheezy and…wrong?

It was followed by another swift kick, this time with the heel, the stiletto end sinking in just below his sternum.

The small hole oozed thickly as she roughly pulled her leg free.

He grunted, rolling over to the less painful side and drawing his knees up.

‘Come on…get it over with already.’  He begged silently.  Whatever ‘it’ was…

She wouldn’t get the privilege of hearing him ask for reprieve, nor would she hear what he knew she sought.

His stubbornness made him add, ‘Not in this lifetime.’

A few hours ago life was good.   He’d gone to see Kasha and Sirius, answered their questions, and left.

He’d gone to bed safe, comfortable and content, with the woman he loved.  Since then, he’d been rudely awakened only to be knocked out again, and then he’d come to, feeling the worst possible pain.

He’d been pistol whipped, bound, gagged, and then kicked until his ribs felt like they’d caved in.  Breathing was difficult, and he wondered briefly why he continued to do it when it hurt so damn much.

Stupid bloody heart, stop beating, will ya?

His heart ignored him.

Oh yeah…It was the side effects of his unique alteration…

He narrowed his eyes on the split-screen images of the woman he thought he’d once loved.

Loved, before he met Emma.

He thought she’d be the one, but thank heavens she wasn’t.

His sweet Emma was.

Kasha was an ‘it’, alright…

‘It’, from the loins of the devil himself.  She’d broken him mentally and emotionally in the past and now physically as well, in the last few hours, and he was immensely glad that she’d let him in on her reasons for playing him and walked, though not too far.

It was just business for her, and it had led him to find his true soul-mate.

He’d been used by her.
