Grayson's POV
Drake asked Armen a question about why Alice wasn't at the house with them.
"U-um...well heh funny story. I can't really tell you, I don't know how you are going to react." Armen said while rubbing the back of his neck. 'What are they not telling us?' I thought.
"Why not? We trust you guys." Mya said.
"No you guys don't! You guys are keeping a secret as well and won't tell us about it. So we don't trust you."Alice said, getting a little annoyed while crossing her arms.
"Look we can't really tell you guys where we are going. I don't think it will be safe to tell you guys yet." I say trying to calm down Alice.
"Whatever. I have to leave anyways. I have a quest I have to complete. I don't care about who's coming with me. So thanks for everything."Alice said and grabbed her stuff and so did Armen.
"Wait, you're going with her?" Drake said, a little sadly.
"Yes because she is my little sister and I don't want her to go alone. I'm sorry Drake. I know I just came back, but I need to be with her." Armen said and walked out with her, leaving us alone in the abandoned cabin.
Alice's POV
Ugh! I can't believe that they want to know my past. Only Armen knows because he is the one who saw me before he got his memory erased.
"So which way to the Draco Hatchery?" Armen asked. I took out the map from my bag and my compass and looked at it. It was north east from our current location about 2 weeks to get there.
"Well, it's a 2 week walk from our current location but I don't want to waste time just walking around. We could go to some villages and find some supplies for the trip." I tell him. He nods and I put the map in my pocket. We continued walking until I felt a magical presence nearby and stop. Armen stops too and I'm pretty sure he feels it as well.
"Who's there?" Armen asks, hoping to get an answer. We wait there for a little until I see an arrow wizzing past us. I grab Armen and put a shield up.
"Armen, I'm going to send you back with Drake. I know who these people are, they are from the Empire, and I want you to be safe. Now, if they ask about the past, just tell them. And don't try to save me."I say to him. Before he could protest, I teleported him back with Drake. I was running low on mana, so my shield went down and I fell to my knees. Everything was getting blurry but I saw a figure walk up to me.
"I finally found you...Alice." It said then shot me with something, then I blacked out.
Armen's POV
"No!" I said after she teleported me, forgetting it was to Drake, Grayson and Mya, who were packing their things in the cabin still. I fell to my knees crying.
"No...I just got you back." I said in a low voice. I heard footsteps coming towards me. I felt a hand go to my shoulder. I looked back and saw Drake kneeling on the ground with a worried face. I turn and cried into his shirt while he tries to comforts me. Grayson and Mya are behind him, with their stuff, ready to go.
"What happened? And where is Alice?" Drake asks. I pull away and wipe my tears.
"Alice got caught by a mercenary a-and I don't want to lose my little sister to the Empire." I say to them, trying not to have a breakdown. They all turn to each other, liking worried. We left the cabin and started walking over to the direction of the Empire thinking of a plan.
