So this is my first chapter of my new fanfic! Obviously there will be quite a few age changes and little details but hopefully you will enjoy it!
----------------------------------------------
Melanie's POV
I sigh as a crying child is pulled across the hallway by an impatient parent. I relate, I think.
Lying in this hospital bed for several days really does become boring. I thought that I would enjoy having a break from the tour for a bit, even if it was spent being examined by doctors and constant pain flaring up in my kidney. Trying to come up for new ideas for songs is only interesting up to a point. Even if I'm them basing on the seemingly infinite stream of people who walk past daily.
I'm even starting to memorise who walks past and when. It has been a while since I have been this alone with myself.
I begin to hum the intro to a new song I'm making, when someone who is walking past catches my eye.
A boy who seems to be around my age, 20, with dark chocolate brown hair and milky white skin. A sudden idea flares up for a song, about a boy made of chocolate. He suddenly turns around, as if he can feel my stare on his back, melting his chocolate exterior. Okay, stop it Melanie. Not everyone thinks like you.
He turns around and looks straight at me, an open look on his face. I look straight into his eyes, deep chocolate. I cock my head to the side, unsure what will happen next.
He keeps staring at me, and I keep staring back. I wink at him, to which he suddenly looks at his feet, smiles back and continues on his way. Lyrics begin to form in mind, mere sketches of what could happen. I sigh, probably just another exaggerated wandering of my imagination.
And here the doctor comes, I tense up in anticipation for his tiresome questions.

So that was my first chapter!
Sorry it was quite short, I didn't have much time tonight but I wanted to get the first bit done.
