Chapter 25: Same Issue as Before

Brad: "Carrie what's going on?"

Carrie: "You kissed another woman Brad!"

Brad: "Oh my god...Care..."

Carrie: "What Brad you didn't think I'd find out?"

Brad: "Wait how did you find out?"

Carrie: "Miranda told me."

Brad: "Listen Carrie it meant nothing and I would never choose another woman over you."

Carrie: "Brad I'm so tired, I'm tired of this obstacle corse that might never end."

Brad: "Carrie that's love, you tough it out for the person you love."

Carrie: "I have been and I'm tired I've been in this battle for to long and I think it's time for me to surrender."

Brad: "Carrie..."

Carrie: "I just need some time to myself."

Carrie grabs a light sweater and leaves, she kept driving till she got to Luke and Caroline's house. When she knocked on the door Luke invited her in and he already knew what had happened. Caroline came down the stairs and wrapped Carrie in a hug.

Carrie: "I just need a place to stay for a few days."

Caroline: "You can stay here."

Carrie: "No no I couldn't impose."

Luke: "No you're not you're staying with us."

Carrie: "Thanks guys."

Caroline: "I'll go get the guest bedroom ready for you."

Carrie: "Thanks Caroline."

Luke: "Caroline I'm gonna go over to Blake's to pick up my tools he borrowed!"

Caroline: "Ok!"

Luke grabbed his keys and walked out the door, but he wasn't going to Blake's.

Luke: "Brad come on I know you're home man!!!"

He kept banging on the door.

Luke: "Brad come on I want to talk to you!"

Blake: "He's not answering?"

Luke: "No, wait what are you doing here?"

Blake: "I could ask you the same thing."

Blake bangs on the door a few times.

Blake: "Hey man it's Blake I know you're in there! Come on open the door!"

Brad still didn't answer.

Blake: "Hold on."

Blake walked over to the porch swing reached underneath and pulled out a key. He handed it to Luke and he opened the door.

Luke: "Brad where are you?!"

Brad walks in from the kitchen.

Brad: "How the hell did you get in?"

Blake: "I know where the spare key is."

Luke: "Brad you need to go talk to Carrie she's over at my house."

Brad: "I want to know how Carrie found out in the first place!"

Blake: "I swear I didn't say anything to Miranda."

Brad: "Then how did she find out?"

Blake: "Miranda doesn't know."

Brad: "But Carrie got a call from her tell her about Lia."

Blake: "Miranda wasn't on the phone."

Brad: "She wasn't?"

Blake: "No."

Brad: "I'll be right back."

{At Caroline's House}
Caroline: "Carrie it's Brad!"

Carrie walks to the door.

Carrie: "What do you want Brad?"

Brad: "How did you know about the kiss?"

Carrie: "I told you Miranda called me."

Brad: "Really because what I find strange is that Blake said Miranda was never on her phone for the past two days."

Carrie started to look concerned.

Brad: "So I'm gonna ask you one last time, how did you know about the kiss?"

Carrie: "I was already at...Mike's house, I was in the kitchen when you kissed her."

Brad: "What were you doing at Mike's house?"

Carrie: "I had to tell him something."

Brad: "Tell him what?"

Carrie: "I guess I shouldn't be mad at you for kissing another woman."

Brad: "What do you mean?"

Carrie reached into her back pocket and pulled out a piece of paper and handed to him.

Brad: "What is this?"

Carrie: "Just read it."

Brad took the paper and unfolded it.

Brad: "...You're um you're pregnant."

Carrie: "And I did have a one night stand with Mike."

Brad: "What?!"

Carrie: "I was drunk and he was at the bar and just took advantage."

Brad: "So we're back to where we started."

Carrie: "What?"

Brad: "It was the same issue when you found out you were pregnant with John. And you ended up picking the guy you had a one night stand with you last time. Are you going to do the same thing this time?"

Carrie: "..."
