Chapter 4

I sat at my table with all my friends. In four days was my birthday and I couldn't wait, but for some reason I felt very sick mentally. I didn't look sick nor did I have a cold or flu, I just didn't feel like doing anything. One of those things is eating so I sat at my lunch table stabbing the mashed potatoes with the plastic fork while my friends chat about random stuff. I finally got up and threw away my tray and walked around the halls til I heard some noise so I headed that way. When I turned the corner I saw Clayton on the ground while James, one of my football friends, is hovering over him punching him and throws words like "Fairy" and "Faggot" at him. Those words were the reason I stop moving towards them. I was going to help, and Clayton saw that. He's gay? My neighbor is a queer? I was going to help Clayton but now I can't. "Dominic!" He pleaded for help which made James stop and look over at me "You gonna help me?" James asked so I nodded and walked over there and picked Clayton up.

I forced his arms behind him while I held them in a way where he looked like he had handcuffs on. James smirks and started punching him more until I finally said enough so James said okay and walked away. I let go of Clayton's arms and he fell to the ground crying which all of a sudden make my heart break but I ignored it. He finally got up and grabbed his bag and turned to me "I thought we were friends?" He asked with pain dripping on his words.

I just gave him a disgusted look "I'm not friends with queers." Which made him even more sad but he nodded his head in understand meant and limped off to I don't know where.

My last class I had Clayton in so I was expecting him but he wasn't there. His twin came in though and sat in his desk so I leaned a little closer to him "Where's Clayton?" I asked he looked at me "None of your business jerk!" He yelled at me then his eyes flashed red. Like legit red which made me lean back in my chair confused.

I ignored the look the teacher gave us and ignored the whole class. Red eyes? Shimmering skin? Weird aura? Are these people even Humans?

The bell ranged so I grabbed my bag and walked out the school going to my bike. I started her up and drove home. I finally got in my driveway so I parked my bike and thought about going to Clayton's house but didn't. If his brother knew so did his sister and parents. I sighed. What did I do? But then again he is gay. Just thinking about it made all my worry for him leave so I walked in my house, dropped my bag near the front door, then made my way to my room. I opened the door then locked it. I went to my desk and did a quick glancing at the books that were laid there. They were only books about mythical creatures and their background. A future Alpha needs to know the other species stories. I did it again with the glance til one caught my eye. Vampire History I. So I grabbed it and started to do a quick skim over some words till I kept reading and reading. There were some words that like yelled at me so I grabbed a notebook and pencil and started to write the words down. I finally got done with the book so I looked down at the paper and the stuff I wrote down.

Blood Suckers
Hate sun
Super pale
Red eyes
They were first humans until one of them started to eat there own kind's blood and meat making their canines long and sharper and giving them super thirst for other human blood. Passed down thru genes.

It didn't seem like anything special so I sigh and put the book away. I got up grabbed some extra clothes and went to my bathroom and started to take a shower. I sighed as I enjoyed the warm water running down my skin. Speaking of running, I haven't been in my wolf form for some weeks now. I don't think I should until my birthday because now I don't really feel in the shape to change.

I got out the shower and dried off. I put on the extra clothes then went back to my desk. I started to watch some videos on my laptop til it got dark so I turned off my laptop and climbed into bed. I turned off my lamp near my bed and closed my eyes. I'm gonna regret going to school tomorrow.
