Chapter 3

*4 years later*

Me and Zayn have been best friends for 4 years! Long time I know! "Cher!" Zayn yells. "What?" I yell back. "Come here." "Ok." I run downstairs to the front door. I open it up to see my best friend. "Hey. Ready for school?" He asks. "Yep let me grab my back pack." I say. I run to the living room and grab my camo bag. I kiss my dads cheek and run over to Zayn. We run outside to his bike. He gets on and I run and get my skateboard. I grab it and skate over to Zayn. "Ready now?" He asks. "Yep." I say. We start heading for school that's only 2 miles away. We finally make it to school. "One more week till schools over." I say. "I can't wait!" He yells. "That means 2 more years till high school." I say. "Oh great." He says. I laugh. He pulls his bike in the holder and I slide my skateboard beside it. We walk inside the school to see chaos in the halls. We stick together getting squished till we get to our lockers I grab my books and we run to first class.

* 5 days later*

The last day of school! I run through the halls trying to find Zayn. I stop running when I see him with the popular girl,Brooke, and her group. You can defiantly tell she flirting with him. I walk over to Zayn and smile at him. "Ready to go?" I ask. "Actually Brooke's mum was going to drive me home. I hope that's fine." He says looking at me. "Oh........ That's ok." I say smiling a little. I look at Brooke to see her giving me devilious smile. "I guess I'll see you later." I say. "See ya." He says. We hug than I walk away. I walk outside to my skateboard and Zayn's bike and grab the board. I start skating home thinking how Brooke even talked to him. Me and Zayn were known as the nerds in the school. I got home to see Waliyha just getting home. "Hey Cher!" She yells to me. "Hey!" I yell back. "Where's Zayn?" She asks giving me a confused look. "He's coming home with someone else." I say. "Ok....well bye!" She says smiling. I laugh and run inside. I go to my room and through all my school stuff out. I try to finish fast because me and Zayn said at the end of the school year we would go to the ice cream shop. I finish putting everything away to see Zayn just getting home. I smile but it quickly fades when I see he has ice cream. I run outside to him and he smiles but he quickly fades when he sees me not smiling. "What's wrong Cher?" He asks. "I thought you said we would get ice cream together." I say. "Oh my gosh! I totally forgot! I'm sorry Cher!" He says. "It's ok. Are we still going to the park later?" I ask. "I can't me and Brooke are going to the movies in 40 minutes." He says. "Oh ok." I say. "We'll bye." I walk away and hop my fence to the back yard. I go over to 2 swings me and Zayn made. I sit down on my swing and look over to see Doniya looking at me smiling. "Hey Kayla." She says coming over. "Hey." I say. "Aren't you and Zayn suppose to go to the park?" She asks. "Ya but he decided to go to the movies with the most popular girl in the school." I say. She sits down on Zayn's swing looking shocked. "He never bails on you." She says. "I know which is really weird." I say. Her mum comes out yelling for to come inside to help her with something. She waves bye before running off to her mum. I go inside and grab an apple. I run to my room and fall straight on my bed letting the tears run down my face. I can't believe him. He never breaks his promises. I soon fall asleep to my sobs filling the room.
