Chapter 7

Cher's POV

I wake up and look at my clock to see its 11:00. CRAP! I jump out of bed and get my clothes on. I brush threw my hair and grab my red converse. I run outside and grab my skateboard. I decide to skip breakfast because I'll be late if I didn't. I skate all the way to the diner just as the clock turns 12:00. I run in to the diner to see my manager holding a uniform for me. I grab it and run to the bathroom. the uniform is a casual yellow dress with a white apron. I put my black hair in a pony tail and run out. "We open at 1:00." Mr.Anderson says. "Ok. What are my work hours?" I ask. "On weekdays you work noon to 6:00. On weekends you work noon to 9:00. When school starts you work 4:00 to 8:00." he says. "Ok." I say. He walks to his office while I'm left alone someone walks in and I notice its the girl I met yesterday. "Hi. Yesterday I didn't interduce myself properly. I'm Autumn." She says. "Hi. Are you a waitress to?" I ask. "Yes I am." She says. "who else is waiters or waitress?" I ask. "Austin and Max." she says. I nod. "Austin is my boyfriend while Max is his friend." she says. "how old are you." I ask. "I just turned 17 last month. Austin and Max are 20." she says. "I'm 16. I lived in America for 8 years. I have been here for almost 9 years." I say. The door rings again and a boy with brown hair and a blonde hair walks in. "Hey boys." Autumn says getting up and hugging the boys. "You must be Cher the new waitress. I'm Max and that's Austin." Max says. "Hi." I say. "Well it's time to open up." Autumn says. she goes over the door and turns the sign to OPEN. Max goes to a lever and pulls it. The big sign outside lights up saying open. Austin gives me a notebook that I use to take orders. "Oh and are cooks are John and Kara." Autumn says. we get behind the counter and wait for costumers. 3 groups are here so far and Autumn,Austin,and Max all go first so they can show me what to do. I hear the door ring and Zayn,Brooke,Alexis,Madison,and 2 other boys walk in. "Cher, can you get them?" Autumn asks. "Ya." I say. I walk over to their booth where they are talking not even noticing. "Can I get you something to drink?" I ask after awhile. They all turn to me. Zayn gives me a suprised look but says, "Yes, I'll get a sweet tea." he says. "So will I." Brooke says smiling. "I'll have coffee." one of the boys says. "Me too." says Madison. "We'll have milk." Alexis say pointing to herself and the other guy. "Ok that will be right out." I say. I walk away and I get 6 black mugs out. I pour the drinks in them and put them on a big plate. I walk over to the table and hand them there drinks. "If you need anything yell for me." I say. I walk off and right when I'm behind the counter I here my name called by Madison. I walk over and ask, "what do you need?" "this coffee is terrible!" Madison yells pouring the hot coffee on my head. I gasp and take the mug and run. The last thin I hear before entering the bathroom is the table laughing including Zayn. I walk over to the mirror to see coffee dripping off of me. My uniform is splattered with coffee in places. I hear the door open and I look to see Autumn coming in. "Mr.Anderson kicked them out. He said you can leave and come back tomorrow if you want." she says. I nod. "Ok I'll see you tomorrow." I say passing by her and walking out. I go behind the counter and grab my bag with clothes in it. I go back in the bathroom and change into my red t-shirt and black jeans. I walk out of the diner and grab my skateboard. I hop on it and skate to my house. I get to my house to see Brooke dropping Zayn off. I sit on my porch swing and swing. Brooke soon leaves and Zayn stands and watches her go. "Thanks for making my day heck!" I yell to Zayn with sarcasm hitting my face. Zayn looks at me with an angry face. "I'm glad I'm not your friend because if I was you would stab me in the back and laugh about it!" I yell when he doesn't answer. He starts walking towards me with his fists clenched and an angry face. I get scared but I don't show it. I stand up while he gets real close to me. "What do you want?" I ask. He steps back making me think I've won. But I'm wrong. Zayn slaps me across the face and pushes me down. He walks away while I'm sitting on the ground bawling my eyes out. I get up and run inside my house. I fall on the couch bawling my eyes out holding my cheek. I soon fall into a painful sleep.
