She hummed a soft tune as she combed her hair, her body slightly rocking. "Veronica?" She paused, mid brush. "Yes sister?" Her younger sister ran up to her, her hands gripping her sister's red dress. "I have horrible news big sister." She cocked a brow and set down the bone hand she used as a brush. "Hurry and spit it out." She sneered. "I need to get back to my grooming."

Wiki was a smaller version of Veronica. She was her cousin but she called her sister since they looked so much alike. "They plan to kill you." The bone snapped in her hand and Wiki flinched back in surprise. "Why would they do that?" She chirped, using her claws to comb her hair. "They say your eyes will turn red, and that they can't let that happen."

Her gaze snapped to Wiki and she grinned. "Thank you. You may leave now." The little girl nodded and scurried off. Veronica's eye twitched as she stood, throwing the broken pieces of bone to the floor as she stormed out of her room, still maintaining that grin upon her face.

Zachariah lay in a corner of his cell, gnawing on a bone from the only dinner head have for the month. His cell burst open and he tensed as Veronica sat beside him, leaning on his fragile body. "They want me dead." She said blandly, her blank fixated on the concrete ceiling.

Zachariah frowned. You've got to be kidding me. He endured all this so that her family would be satisfied after all he did to her and they were just going to kill her after putting him through all this and saving her.

She chuckled. "I sense your anger. It's understandable." She turned her body and stroked his ear as he carried on with the gnawing of his bone. "But don't worry I'll make sure what you did was not in vain my little wolf."
