Today's quote: "I'm too busy working on my own grass to notice if yours is greener".
It is finally Monday, I usually hate Mondays but I am excited to see Pablo and tell him about my feelings. I was never the girl that hid what she felt so I spent my whole weekend writing a speech for the occasion. Classy, I know. I also bought him a box of cupcakes.
I was walking, basically skipping to school when Chris caught up to me.
"Good morning Chris" I sang, a huge smile on my face, he looked more creeped out than before.
"Good morning? What happened?" He asked.
"Why do you think something happened? Can't I just be happy for once?" I asked.
"Uhn no, It's a Monday and half past seven am" He said.
"So what?" I giggled.
"You're actually speaking like a human being instead of grunting and you're smiling" He said looking scared.
"Okay, I figured out about my feelings and I'm going to tell Pablo about them" I said, my smile becoming larger.
"Stop with that smile, you look like a paedophile"
Well that made me stop smiling, maybe that's why my neighbour took the stairs instead of the elevator with her kids.
"Cool" He said with an awkward smile on his face, patting me on the shoulder.
By that time we were already in front of the school we walked in but we had different classes so we parted ways.
"Bye, wish me luck" I said, finally feeling nervous. I was so nervous I didn't even hear his answer. I had my first class with Pablo, we had chemistry.
I walked inside the class and the first thing I see is a flustered Pablo sitting in his usual chair, next to mine. I was just opening my mouth when I saw it, and that's when I rushed out of the classroom, a tear fell down my cheek, followed by many others.
I went inside the bathroom, which was luckily empty and locked myself inside a stall. That's where I stayed until the bell rang.
After it rang I opened the door and walked out with my head hanging low, I looked myself in the mirror and saw something that resembled a puffy lobster. I retouched my makeup, trying to make something that almost resembled a human being when two girls walked in.
Now I was already starting to become defensive because when girls came to me it was usually to make fun of me and I wasn't in the mood for that so I merely sighed and turned back to the mirror.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" I asked already starting to become bored, if they wanted to do this they had to be quick because I had to leave the school before both boys came looking for me and I had no intentions of speaking to Pablo.
"What are you talking about? Is this a regular thing in this country? Maybe it's an inside joke" Said a small blonde girl, I did a double take and realised that she had an accent. The other girl looked at me and laughed: "The only inside joke we have in this country is that girl in general"
Well, doesn't she look proud of that one? I just roll my eyes and start washing my hands. What I don't see is the offended look on the face of the small blond girl with the accent.
"Well the only thing that looks like a joke in here is your hair, ever heard about a salon? They have been here for centuries darling, now that you know that why don't you go find someone who can try to fix that mess, keyword try, shlyukha" she said, mumbling the last part.
The other girl becomes red in the face and turns around, muttering stuff under her breath and leaves the bathroom, of course, not forgetting to slam the door.
"Well hello there! My name is Veronika Klausch and I just moved here from Russia" She said with a huge smile on her face. Well that explains the accent.
"My name is Eloise and you shouldn't be seen with me, it will ruin your social life" I said, genuinely feeling concerned for this strange girl that stood up for me when she didn't have to.
"Well then, good thing I don't care. Now, you look like you need to leave, I've got my car out there and I know a small café in town, what do you say about that" She asked.
"Well okay, I just need to grab my stuff from my locker and we're free to go"

This is literally the best thing that I have ate in my entire life, I'm going to marry it and we're going to have 3 kids, Bobby, Carlos and Mary. I never knew a cupcake could be that good.
"Has everyone ever told you that you look like a paedophile when you smile like that? Because honey, you're kind of creeping that family out" She said sipping her milkshake. I look to my left and see a family of 4, a mother, father and two kids, a baby and a teen.
When they see me looking the teen immediately pulls out her phone and the baby bursts out crying. The family quickly collects their stuff and walks out, not forgetting to give me a death glare before leaving. I really need to practice my smiles...
When I turn back around Veronika is laughing her ass off, her milkshake sitting at the table forgotten. I playfully glare at her and start laughing too, we both look like complete weirdos sitting there laughing at nothing but I strangely don't care, and it feels nice.

When I finally get home I am eager to start playing the guitar again, I can try and remember the chords to my mother's lullaby. I take a quick shower and sit on my sofa. I grab my guitar and try to remember the chords. I finally remember it and start playing.
"A dangerous plan, just this time
A stranger's hand clutched in mine
I'll take this chance, so call me blind
I've been waiting all my life
Please don't scar this young heart
Just take my hand
I was made for loving you
Even though we may be hopeless hearts just passing through
Every bone screaming I don't know what we should do
All I know is, darling, I was made for loving you."
I was just finished when I heard clapping.
