The Walking Dead

chapter 1

Alex's POV
"ok bye mom I'm going to hang out with my friends at the park" I smile "ok hun you go" she smiled back gesturing me to go. as I'm walking to the park I noticed that nobody is outside and there isn't many cars, *RIng* *ring* I looked at my phone and my mom was calling, "hello?" I say "Alex come back home and hurry please! I'll explain when you get back! be careful" my mom said "ok I'm coming" I said Turing around. "ok bye" she said then hung up on me. I looked across the street and my friend Nicole was running towards me. "Alex comon lets go!!!" she said pulling my arm to run. "whats going on?!" I yell to her "just comon!!!" she yelled pulling me more. we made it to my house but people were surrounding it and my mom was screaming. "oh no the roamors beat us" Nicole said pulling me in for a brief hug. "roamors?!?surrounding my house?!? I don't understand?!?" I said "I'll explain when we get to my house I promise just lets go" Nicole  said  as we started to run to her house
[Nicole's house]
"mom I'm back open the door" Nicole said knocking, the door opened and I saw her mom holding a gun and she gestured us in. "now we're here, what's going on?" I ask "you now how we always talked about the apacolapse, well it's happening. we call them roamors, They got to your mom... we couldn't save her ... I'm sorry" Nicole said looking down. "so she's dead?" I ask with a cracked tone "afraid so" she said pulling me in for another brief hug. "you need a weapon, we don't have anymore guns but we don't have another katana, I have one two" she smiled handing me a katana in a holder. "thanks" I said putting the strap over my neck to rest it on my right shoulder. a tear feel from my eye thinking about my moms death, I stopped thinking about it. "we're hoping to find more survivors , we have been listening to the radio, every night we leave it on just in case somebody comes on" Nicole's mom said "when did the outbreak start" I ask "2 days ago, down town Toronto it didn't take long to get here... people thought the warnings were fake, we thought they were but we were wrong" Nicole said "where are we going next?" I ask with a serious tone "well my uncle has a trailer up west, were going there ASAP" Nicole said. I heard a very quite groan as I turned around I saw a roamor  running up to Nicole's mom, "BEHIND YOU!" I yelled, it was to late. the roamor teared off Her flesh and she's bleeding to death and that's when it happens, they all start falling in like a herd of wild dogs. "MOM!! NO!!" Nicole yelled "NICOLE COMON WE HAVE TO GO!!!" I yelled tugging her arm "NO!!!" she yelled as I dragged her out. she knew she had to run so she started running and we ran and ran for miles and we finally stopped to take a break. "why?" she said as tears fell down her face like rainfall. I pulled her in for a hug "try not to cry, I don't know when the next time we will get clean water" I said in her ear. we parted from our hug and she nodded, A walker was walking down the grass and she got up and slashed its face off with her katana. "let's go" she turned to me
