"Odell right?" I questioned.
I was highly confused on why he was here.
Oh my gosh. Maybe he's been following me I thought letting my paranoia get the better of me.
"Yeah..your Kameron right?" he asked.
I was a little surprised that he remembered my name.
"Um yea. What are you doing here" I shifted all my weight to my left leg and looked at him.
"I'm here to pick up my lil cousin. Is the office this way?" he asked
"No, you're actually going the opposite direction. I could show you where it is if you'd like" I offered.
He simply nodded his head. I began leading him down the hallway towards the office.
"So you work here?" he asked.
"What do you think" I looked at him
"Touché" he said
We walked in silence until we reached the front office.
"Here we are" I said.
I turned to walk away when he asked for my number.
"I was just wondering if I could get your number. You aren't like most girls" he said
I turned around and replied "How am I different"
"Well you don't know who I am...which is quite shocking, and you just give off this good vibe and I like it"
I hope I don't regret this I thought.
He pulled out his phone and I entered my number into it. I waved slightly before turning and walking to my classroom.
I got back to my classroom with about 20 minutes to spare before my students came back. As soon as I sat down my phone rang.
"Hello" I said
"Kameron... I need your help" Hazel
said desperately.
"Hazel? What's wrong" I asked intently.
"It's Ray. He came home drunk and...well he's trying to rape me" she cried loudly.
"Okay, I'll be there in about 30 minutes" I said then hung up.
I quickly grabbed my belongings and rushed to the office. I told them I had a family emergency and that I needed a substitute for my class. After that situation was handled, I rushed to Hazel's apartment. After speeding through traffic and earning a few well deserved honks from drivers, I had reached Hazel's apartment.
I literally ran to her door which was on the 1st floor. The door was forcefully opened which meant that this "Ray" wasn't invited in. I wasn't prepared for what was to come, but I knew my sister needed help so I came to her aid. I reached inside her closet and grabbed the closest thing close to me.

I heard noises coming from the back of the apartment.I slowly inched my way towards Hazel's bedroom.
"Get the fuck off of me Ray" Hazel yelled.
"Baby, let me make love to you" Ray slurred.
"Ray baby your drunk and I need you to get off me now!" she yelled.
