A Rivals Unknown Love ~Pokemon Fanfic~ (BoyxBoy)

Chapter 1

~Ash~

It wasn't until I made it to the Unova region that I realized, I missed Gary. It has been nearly 5 years since I last saw the hot-head, and I couldn't help but to remember the first day we met.

~Flashback~

I woke up late. I was frantically getting ready... Even after getting my shoes on and sprinting out the door, I didn't have actual clothes on. There goes my first impression to Professor Oak to know that I am ready for this. My 10 year old mind thought, So I continued to sprint, not wanting to miss out on getting my first Pokemon. When I got there, there was a big crowd that had formed. I pushed to the front,  wanting to know what the commotion was. Then I saw him, Gary. I had a fire start from within my soul, butterflies in my stomach, and my heart skipped a beat. At the time, I thought this meant he was meant to be my rival, but now I know it means much, much more.

"Who are you?" I ask "Why is there such a big crowd?"

He laughed at me, I giggled slightly to make it seem like I knew something. 

"I'm Gary, only pallets biggest competitor to become a Pokemon Master!" He said, then continue to laugh.

"Oh, Well. I am Ash! I want to become a Pokemon Master too!" I said enthusiastically.  He once again laughed at me after a short pause.

"You? A Pokemon Master? I would like to see you try." He chuckled again before walking off, saying farewell to his family.

~Present Day~

After that I had run inside, not wanting to be left alone.  Getting the Pikachu that has now been with me through my entire Journey. 

I want to see Gary, he told me he would visit me when I got to the next town in Kalos, and I couldn't be more ecstatic. 

I loved Gary, even though there were times he didn't seem to like me back, or as more then a friend.
