I stared at the clock as it struck 8. I went up to his apartment door and knocked twice, faking a smile. As Colby opened the door, I whispered 'hey' as he took me into a hug.
"Hey" Colby whispered back into my ear. We let go of each other, but as I was walking to open the door, Colby stopped me and held on to the sides of my arms.
"Colby, what's wrong?" I asked, my eyebrows knitted together.
"Put this on first" Colby said, as he reached into his back pocket and pulled out a makeshift blindfold. I nodded my head in confusion, but put it on anyways. I turn around so Colby can put it on for me, and as the blindfold hits my eyes, the immediate darkness makes me feel uneasy. I mean of course I trusted Colby with my life, but the thought that he didn't love me anymore, still ran through at the back of my mind. Colby lead me into his apartment, and a sudden wave of heat hit my body.
"Wow" I said under my breath as the heat surprised me.
"Open when I say so, ok Maelyn?" Colby said as I heard him move from away from me. I nodded my head in agreement and stood there, slowly burning up. Why is it so hot omg? 

"Ok. Go" I heard colony's voice slightly echo in the room. I quickly untied my blindfold, only to find Colby in front of me, down on one knee. "Co-Colby" I struggled to speak.
"Shh babygirl, first I need to ask you something" Colby said as he took my hands down from my face, and held them in his slightly sweaty palms. He let his right hand go, to open the small black box that was pressed against his thigh. As it opened, he began speaking,
"Maelyn, you're my world, you're my princess, you're my saviour, you're my everything. I don't think you have an idea of just how much I fucking love you, and if you can't fully see that, I guess I'll just have to prove it to you." My head shook in disbelief of the moment that was happening right now.
"Mae, will you marry me?" Colby continued on.
"Yes! yes! Fucking yes Brock! A million times yes!" I jumped screaming into his arms as he stood up. As we hugged, Colby pulled me away and placed the ring on my finger. Colby brought me back into an embrace and began spinning me around, just like in the movies, he's so cheesy but I love it. He slightly pulled apart from the hug, only to reconnect with our lips.
