Against My Prophecy

Chapter 3

Just as the guy was about to touch me, the door swung open and a strong fist connected with the creepy guy's chin, sending him flying away from me. I burst into tears as my wrists were uncuffed and I was picked up by the Alpha, burying my face into his chest. He patted my back soothingly and wrapped an arm around me as he led me out. He picked me up bridal-style once we were outside and I sobbed into his shirt, gripping it for dear life as he walked to a huge mansion in the centre of town. A maid walked behind us when we got inside, two plates of food in her hands. Well, not really food. One plate was filled with meat, the other was filled with packets of blood with stickers on. You know, the kind you find in hospitals. 

I stared horrified at them before returning my face to my Mate's chest. He kissed my forehead and walked into a room, setting me down on a king size four poster bed and motioning for the girl to give me the plates. My nose wrinkled at the smell of the blood so I just tucked into the meat, finishing it all within a minute. The Alpha looked pleased and told the girl to take the blood away as he sat with me on the bed. "You killed most of my fighters." He said quietly and my eyes teared up as I saw he was mad at me. I looked down and drew my knees up to my chest, wrapping my arms around them as he carried on. "And Adrian said you were tied to some kind of...prophecy? That involved killing me." He said the last bit softly, but that didn't stop me from bursting into tears, my sobs filling the room as I cried loudly. 

"Yes, yes, it's all true!! But I can't do it!! I'd never be able to do it, but now my dad know's I'm here and he'll kill me if I don't kill you, because if I don't kill you it could mean the end of the vampire sp-species!!" I was wailing by the end and tears were streaming down my cheeks, soaking my dress as I looked at the bed, too afraid to look at the Alpha. He raised his hand and I screamed, flinching away from him as I scrambled off the bed. 

"Lucas get back here!" Nine year old Selene yelled, giggling as her brother danced off in the forest. He turned to face her, grinning. "It's fine! Come on!" He walked backwards not watching where he was going, and went right into the werewolf pack's territory. "LUKE GET OUT OF THERE!!!" I screamed, watching as the Alpha ran up behind him yelling: "DIRTY BLOODSUCKER!!!!" I screamed and screamed as I watched him tear my brother apart, limb from limb as I turned and ran. Alphas were dangerous, Alphas were bad. Alphas would kill you for being on their territory.

The flashback ended and I blinked, snapping back to present day where my Alpha was walking towards me. "NO STAY AWAY!!!!" I screamed, backing into a wall as tears streamed down my cheeks. Adrian burst in then, making the Alpha turn round. "Aaron, stop! She's scared of you!" He yelled and I nodded frantically, pushing myself up against the cold marble. "But why?!" Aaron roared back and I screamed, making his head snap back to me on the floor.

"Come here and I'll show you!!" Adrian shouted angrily and Aaron stormed over, placing his hand on Adrian's cheek. Somehow, he was showing Aaron my flashback and I saw my Mate's face smooth from angry and confused to sad and sympathetic. He looked back at me, his hand falling back to his side as he sat down on the floor, his head in his hands. Adrian beckoned to me and I rushed over to him, past Aaron and out the door to a room opposite the one we were just in. It was baby blue all over and I beamed, it was my favourite colour.

A girl was sat on the bed, her head snapping up as she heard us walk in. She was familiar somehow. She took one look at me and her bright blue eyes flashed as she turned to Adrian. "Who's this and why is she in my room?" Before he had a chance to answer, I blurted out; "Why aren't your eyes red or black?" Her eyes then widened and she ran over to me at vampire speed, inspecting me. "SELENE!!!!!" Her shriek startled me and when she pulled me into a tight hug I was positively speechless. I then heard the flutter of vampire feet on the ground before we were knocked to the ground by a red-headed girl.

I started to laugh, watching the two girls giggle happily on top of me. One had beach blonde hair and bright blue eyes, the other had red curly hair and gold eyes, both had extremely pale skin like mine. "SELENE OH MY GOD!!!!" The red head squealed and I searched my head, gasping as I remembered who they were. "TANYA!!! ADREANA!!!!" I squealed and pulled them both into a tight hug. Tanya was the blonde, Adreana was the red head. These two were my best friends, but they disappeared when I was sixteen (two years ago).

"WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU TWO BEEN!!??" I yelled, startling them as I glared into their eyes, mine turning red with worry. "Relax, Lena. We've been here, tucked up safely...or should I say trapped safely." She turned to Adrian with an annoyed look as she remembered something and he grinned sheepishly, scratching his neck. "Babe, go grab Maiko." Tanya sighed. "BABE!??!" I shrieked, not expecting what happened next. 

Aaron sprinted in, his eyes wild as he looked around for me, relaxing as he saw me on the floor. Tanya and Adreana burst out laughing, holding their stomachs as they rolled around on the floor. I looked wearily at Aaron. "Please save me." I groaned and they just laughed harder as Aaron shrugged. "Alright." He walked over and threw me over his shoulder, knocking the breath out of me as he spun round. "Aargh!! PUT ME DOWN!!!!" I screamed and pounded his stomach with my fists, not even winding him. "God are you Iron Man or something?" I huffed and slumped down, letting my head and legs fall onto him as he roared with laughter. 

"Hey, this is racist to small people." I moaned grumpily and Aaron almost choked with laughter. "What?" He chuckled and I smiled sarcastically. "Small people are constantly being picked up and treated like they're so young. Just because you guys are tall doesn't mean you have to rub it in my face." I twisted, draping myself over his shoulder as I faced the ceiling, turning my head to look at the girls. "Anyway, I have bigger boobs than both of you." I grinned and they burst into fits of laughter after yelling; "H-HEY!!!" I giggled as Adrian walked in with a blue haired guy who rushed over to Adreana and kissed her full on the lips.

I stopped laughing, my face getting serious again as I slipped out of Aaron's arms and walked over to the blue haired dude. "Hey, I'm assuming you're Maiko? Yeah, well my name's Selena and if you hurt my baby I will physically hunt you down and tear your throat out!" I said in a bubbly voice before whacking him on the back of the head. "Remember that, blue boy." I grinned as everyone burst into fits of laughter again and I turned to Tanya. "I would do the same to Adrian but I've already knocked him out once." 

"Wha-at?" She giggled and I grinned back. "I knocked him out. He kinda kidnapped me today." She frowned and turned to Adrian. "Bad boy!" She growled and hit him over the head. "You know it," he chuckled cheekily and Tanya's face broke into a smile as she kissed him. I looked over at Adreana and she was kissing Maiko. I frowned and turned to Aaron. "Well now I feel left out." 

"I thought you were scared of me, love." He raised an eyebrow cockily and I rolled my eyes. "I'm over it. Now just kiss me you weirdo." He grinned and picked me up, wrapping my legs around his waist as he placed his lips on mine. I practically sighed into the kiss and tangled my fingers in his hair. I'd found my old BFFs and my Mate. Could life get any better?
