Alice pushed away thoughts about William far from her head. But she couldn't. His brown thin hair, his strong structure, his piercing eyes, she just couldn't manage the impossible task of getting him far from her head.

Yet, she wanted nothing to do with him. She, in fact, never wanted to see him again. Or did she?

Alice never ended up going hunting. Instead, she found herself back in her house. Surrounded by the burning candles and inviting vibe once again. This worn out house was once a place where she could feel happy and complete. But for once in a life time, she wasn't complete. Its like she needed something. Or someone. She didn't really understand why she felt this way. She had everything that would usual make her feel complete. She had her bow and arrows, she had her sword, even her sentimental pocket knife. She had everything, except him.

Even now, with the glowing lit candles scattered around her room and the fresh smell of freshly cut wood, and the crickets along with the moonlight shining through her window, it didn't feel right. This didn't feel right. Before, all these things would just be part of a normal day. Everything else was simply a haze to her. It felt like something was missing. Yet, she couldn't seem to put it together. But after meeting William, it was like suddenly the most important things to her, were suddenly not as important anymore. Something else filled their space.

........................................

As Alice laid restlessly in her bed, her mind rattled with hopeless thoughts. His hair, his face, his height, his beautiful eyes that seemed so bright they could light up a city after dark, just could leave her mind. She tried to imagine how his eyes looked at her with fear, yet with passion too. Like he was waiting for her just as much as she was waiting for him.

Alice sighed with frustration. She knew if she didn't meet him at the bar tomorrow, she would regret it for the rest of her life. And she was right. She would surly regret it. If she didn't go, she would try to imagine his face, more and more until she gave up all together.

But with his shining armor and big sword, it looked like he was a royal guard. If that was the case, he would be looking for Alice. He would try to find Alice, and when he does, he would have to kill her on the spot.

Even though Alice hated the royal guards, she ignored the basic fact it all together. All it meant was she would have to change her name. Not a problem.
She made up her mind of finally deciding to meet him as her world went dark and her muscles relaxed. The darkened moonlight gleamed ever so carefully over her giving her room just enough light to see through.

*******************************
Her eyes peeled open slowly and she sat upright in her bed with a yawn. She pulled the thin blankets off her legs leaving them crinkled on the opposite side of the bed. Her back slightly ached but she brushed it off. The sun was shinning brilliantly through her window and down her red shirt that she wore. It heated the back of her neck, giving her a sign of comfort.

Then her memories took her far away when she was truly happy.

"Papa!" Alice's little voice echoed through the forest. The yellow autumn crunched beneath her feet as she ran not thinking were to step next. "Papa!" The child cried out louder, only this time, she knew she was closer to her home. She had a little smile stretched out across her face, and she knew my brown eyes were as wide as gold coins. she was convinced her legs couldn't run any faster, she was already going full speed.

After weaving her way out of the forest she found her home. She raced through the door with a bright smile; she ran straight to her father. "Look at it!" She cried out with glee. Her eyes widened as big as coins as she inspected her discovery. A thin and small sword laid in the palm of her hand. It glistened and sparkled in the sun. Then the child gasped loudly. "Maybe it once belonged to a royal guard!"
