Today is the day, today I will ask her out and finally date the love of my life. When I get my jacket, I notice a letter by the castle door saying:
Dear Spike,
I invite you to a tea party with me at Sugar Cube Corner at 3:00 P.M. Please come in formal clothes.

It was written fast and slightly rushed, like she was in a hurry and needed to get it done...but who cares? She asked me out! Without inviting Twilight with me! OMG, this IS my chance! I run over to Sugar Cube Corner with a tuxedo from the Canterlot wedding I went to and knocked on the door. Pinkie stared at me for a second, taking her time to think about why I would come until she hollared, "Rarity, Spike's here!"
"Ah, Spike! I wanted to talk to you about something."
"Okay, you can go first because I have a question for you."
"Come, sit down. Well, it went like this..."
FLASHBACK
Rarity's POV.
Oh no, I slept in! I quickly put on a robe and do my hair, on my way down I see Twilight and Pinkie sitting down at my table eating their breakfast, "Why are you two here?"
"We came to talk, it's about Spike." Twilight said in her usual matter-of-fact voice, I hate it when she talks that way.
"What's wrong with him?"
"He hasn't slept in days, he keeps mumbling on about you. We came to ask if you had anything to do with it."
"Not that I can think of, except I keep getting flowers and chocolates at my door step, do you think it could be him?"
"I think it is, he has had a major crush on you ever since we moved here." Twilight said, once again angering me with her know it all attitude.
"HE DOES?!"
"Uh, yeah, he kinda made it SUPER obvious! He wears a t-shirt with a picture of you in a heart just about everywhere!" finally Pinkie interrupted before Twilight could speak!
"Why me, of all people, did not see this?"
"I don't know, it is just how it is." I gasped.
"What's wrong Rarity?"
"Pinkie, darling, can you please plan a tea party for me and Spike at 3:00 this afternoon, I can write the invitation." I say, this is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me!
"Why?" Pinkie said, time to spill the beans.
"You see, I have...a...a strong feeling for him as well..."
"WHAT?! OHMYGOSH!" Pinkie said as she ran out jumping for joy.
"Twilight, can you please not tell Spike when you get back?"
"Sure, sounds easy enough." she flew out, leaving me to my own thoughts.
Today is the day, today I will finally be asked out by Spike and be his very special somepony.
I walk back upstairs and get some paper out, I was so excited that my invite was a little sloppy. On my way to Twilight's castle I look around to make sure Rainbow Dash wasn't around. She can never keep a secret, but Apple Jack I can trust. When I put it in the door, I quickly run back so Spike wouldn't see me.
END FLASHBACK
Spike's POV.
I just stared at her, not knowing how to respond so all I do is wait. Wait for her to say something.
"You see, Spike, I-I-love you."
"Rarity, will you be my very special somepony?" the words just fall out of my mouth.
"Yes, of course." I stand up and walk over to her to take her somewhere, I don't know where. But instead, we kissed.
And that was when our lives changed, for the better.
