One-Shots!!!

Mashua- Mary X Josh

I heard at school that everyone expects us to be together so I'm going to make this one shot of how it might happen. When we are finally allowed to date. A.K.A. High school. Remember, I'm in junior high right now so this is totally fake.

It's two weeks until prom and I am so nervous. Josh hasn't said anything about it yet but we've been 'friends with benefits' you could say. We've been texting since seventh grade, and we hang out every day. But strangely it's like he's ignoring me.

Brianna said it's nothing to be worried about, Lilly FINALLY took a break from teasing us about texting and liking each other.

Surprisingly.

I already bought my dress and have tried every day since they announced prom to bring it up in conversation. But all he does is say, "interesting."

Y'know, I should probably take a break, my math teacher seems angry at me for writing this instead of doing math. Cya in a bit.

Back again, finally lunch time and Josh saved me a seat again. When I sat down, Lilly just looked up from her salad and didn't say anything, so not like her. I have to know what's going on.

"Hey, Lilly, aren't you going to tease us for being such a cute couple or something? Nothing? Okay, what's wrong."

"I'm angry because Joshua Hirst over here didn't ask you to prom!" Lilly grabbed a ranch covered grape and threw it at him.

"Hey, eww, now I'm all covered in ranch!"

"Yup, your all white." Lilly said, that's a little more like her. Her usual racist self.

"Yeah, you are all right." I smile and Lilly's eyes brighten, "aww, Mary and Josh, sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby in the baby carriage! Oh, that felt good."

"Hey guys, sorry I took a while, the pizza line was huge. So what did I miss? Josh covered in ranch, Mary helping him, Lilly laughing and singing Mary and Joshua sitting in a tree, I say I missed a lot."

"Ya think?" Josh said angrily as I wiped the last of the ranch of.

"Come on, it wasn't that bad." I hug him with one arm and Lilly just went crazy. And of course I flip her off, what else would I do? "You b**ch, shut the f*ck up."

"Tone down the colors Mary." Josh hugged me back and whispered something in my ear. "Can we talk in private please?"

"Sure." I whiper back, I know where this is going. "Me and Josh need to talk for a moment, you go ahead and go to your next class and we'll catch up."

Lilly goes crazy again and screams at the top of her lungs 'mashua forever!'. As her and Brianna leave, me and Josh are left alone.

"Let's head outside, the fresh air might be good for you after you recive the news."

News? This has got to be good. I follow him outside and once we're where ever he was taking me, he grabs my hands.

"Will you go to prom with me?"

I blush madly and look to see if he was also blushing, he was.

"Of course. You have known since Brianna told you that I love you, Josh." I hug him and he hugs me back.

Greatest day of my life. It took him long enough. Everyone had a date except me, but now I do. Brianna and Austin, Olivia and Tyler, Lilly and whoever she's going with. She will never tell me. She said it was a surprise.

Now to skip to the good stuff. :) what you have all been waiting for.

I step into the Gym with my elegant red dress that went down to my ankles. I didn't do anything with my hair because it was too short, an a-line cut is not meant to be styled. I also had a red ponch shell necklace. For those who dont know what that is, it's a choker made out of red Hawaiian shells.

Josh had a suit and blood red tie, which went perfect with my dress. He had a rose in his hand which he offered to me once he saw me. I took the flower and put it in my hair the best I could. The music started and it was slow and beautiful. Time to make my move I should say.

"May I have this dance?" Josh beat me to it.

"Yes." I gave him my hand and we slow danced with my hands around his neck, and his around my waist.

I saw Lilly in the corner dancing, but I didn't see who. I then saw Brianna and Austin coming over holding hands. Skyler was no where to be seen.

"Hello, having fun? I like the flower." Brianna said, making Josh jump. Guess he was too in the moment to realize them coming.

"Hello, and yeah, I bought the flower from this boutique down town."

"I'm having fun, too, how about we get some punch?"

"Sure." Josh took my hand and we walked to the table with the punch bowl. Until I saw a friend who I never get to see.

"Skyler? Hey, Brianna, it's Skyler!" Josh shouted as Brianna and Austin run over.

"O. M. G. Skyler, how are you! Its been so long!"

"Hey, I'm fine, I joined this book club and it's amazing how many people there are that are like me!"

"So who are you here with?" I asked.

"I'm here with Tyler. I see you and Josh, obviously, Brianna and Austin is a small surprise. Where's Lilly?"

"She is over there in the corner with some guy." I motion my hand to Lilly who seems to be kissing this person.

"Let's start dancing again, this is a cool song." Josh said when this romantic song came on, I bet he didn't even know the song but just wanted to get out of the conversation.

"Fine with me." Josh and I begin to dance again in the large crowd, I turn my head to Brianna and she gets the message. She takes Austin over to where Lilly is and left us together. Alone.

"You look great." Josh said, blushing.

"So do you." I smile and he slowly kisses me on the cheek. "You missed."

"What?"

"You missed." I smile bigger, he understands, and he leans closer to kiss me on the lips.

I tried to hold the kiss as long as I could, Josh tried to pull away once or twice but then tried to hold the kiss like me. It was just like I imagined it would be, and the rest of the night was perfect.

This was kind of weird to write but still fun, tell me what you think and I wouldn't care if you hated it, loved it, wanted me to change it if you are part of the story. Just put whatever you want in the comment section. :)
