I know I said that I hate Pokémon, but here is another couple I am in love with. Hope you like it. Oh and I don't remember Team Rocket's "theme song" so this should be interesting...

JESSE'S POV

I still remember that day I almost left Team Rocket for that handsome doctor forever. It still haunts me to this day. But one thing still remains a mystery, why did I choose to return to my evil ways? James said it was because I missed Pumpcaboo, Meowth said it was because I missed him. Both of those aren't true.

It's because of James.

His smile, his laugh, his Pokémon fighting skills, his voice, his hair. I told Meowth and he just laughed and said I was in love with him. I think it might be true. But if it was, then why haven't I said anything about it before?

It's night right now, all three of us are sleeping in our sleeping bags. I was wide awake, I had another nightmare about that Pikachu we've been hunting for since day one. I rolled over to see Meowth awake too.

"Why are you awake?" I asked.

"I had a nightmare. And you?"

"Same. Y'know, I think you might be right about being in love with James. What do you suppose I do?" I asked, looking at James.

"Do something, perhaps tell him, perhaps skip the chit chat and just kiss him. I don't know, do something before he falls in love with some other girl." Meowth looked over to where I was looking and smiled. "Now is a good chance to do something. You know how deep he sleeps."

"Yeah, sometimes a little too deep." I mumble. I got up and walked over to him. I looked at his peaceful smile as I lied down.

"C'mon Jesse, you can do this." I lean forward towards my sleeping love and kiss him on the lips.

"Well, I was not expecting that." James said, startling me.

"I wasn't expecting you to wake up." I said blushing.

"Did you at least enjoy that?" James said as he blushed too.

"Of course I did."

"I had no idea you had feelings for me. I had feelings for you but had to restrain since we're close friends. And that started when we first met, what about you?"

"Same here. It's nice to finally confess, right?"

"Yeah, but we have a big day tomorrow so let's get some sleep. Good night." James rolled over and I stared at him. I can't go to sleep after that!

The next day, I sit up and realize that I had slept next to James all night. I wonder if Meowth saw...

"Morning love birds, took you long enough." he said when James and I stood up. I suppose that is a yes.

"Shut up Meowth. Is breakfast ready?" I grumbled.

"Yup. Fish and some berries I found earlier this morning." he showed us two plates with fish and heart shaped berries. Oh come on.

"Mmm, they're good. Try one Jesse." James handed me one and I took a bite. It was good, a little tangy with some natural sweetness.

"Oh and I told Inkay to go find the twerps so we could get an early start today. He should be back in a little."

"You did what?!" James shouted, checking his Poke ball.
