(Matt. 26:36-56, Mark 14:32-52, Luke 22:39-53, John 18:1-11)
The Deceiving One is here
Hidden in the GardenThe Man we come to arrest
His claim of divinity all can attest
But by His death He will prove a fraud
In His claim to be GodAgainst our hundreds
His elevenFor His Judas now guides
Silver his faith decides
What kind of God have we long sought
That His followers can be bought? The high priest has spoken
One Man should die for the peopleTwo we are finding
One with light blinding
Kneeling beside someone else
From His forehead blood meltsWho is the God Man?
Judas will know His faceFollowing our chief
We stand in unbelief
For now only the One
Is this the carpenter's Son?The fateful kiss lay on the Man
But His betrayer He calls friendWho would make the first move?
Their quiet deaths none can prove
Suddenly a dagger cuts my ear
All watch as the Preacher draws nearHe rebukes the disciples
Legions of angels He claims commandWith His touch my injury heals
What sorcery that the blood seals?
Asking whom we seek
"The Nazarene," we speak"I AM He"
All before Him collapse to the groundThis master of the supernatural realm
Do we have the power to overwhelm?
Angels bow before His feet?
Yet none for His rescue does He entreatWillingly He submits
In the Garden, have we been deceived?
