Jimin's P.O.V.
As the sunshine streamed brightly through the curtains, I laid back down on my bed, taking in the peace of quiet that came with it. Holding my phone up, I scrolled through my camera roll, looking at my pictures and reminiscing every memory associated with it.
Eventually, I stumbled upon a selfie that Yejin and I took, which I couldn't help but chuckle at. While I was smiling at the camera, she hadn't noticed I was taking a picture until the very last second as she broke out into a laugh, shown through her radiating smile.
Smiling at the memory, I continued looking through the rest. As my mind mindlessly wandered to her, wondering if she actually felt better?
Flashback
"Yah? Kim Yejin." I said seriously, as I held her chin and lifted her head up so I could look her in the eye.
"Aish..oppa? What??" she replied, a hint of annoyance in her voice. But her act couldn't fool me.
"Yejin-ah, are you okay?" I asked worriedly. It had been 2 weeks since she found out about Will's true feelings, and to put her out of the torture of sitting beside him, I volunteered to change spots with her, so she sat next to Jungkook instead.
Not that it helped much.
Every single time I saw her heartbroken expression when her eyes would land on him, I felt like turning to my right and socking him in the face and telling him how he missed out on an amazing girl.
Trying to hide her face from me, she huffed and mumbled,"I'm fine, I'm not some baby okay?"
Rolling my eyes I replied,"Do you think I'd be talking to you if you were? I'd get Jungkook, since he's obviously the baby here."
"Yah! Hyung!" a voice yelled from the couch, causing Yejin to giggle a little, her eyes crinkling into an small crescents. Smiling at her, realizing how much she is like a small child, I grabbed her hand and asked her again,"Seriously though, are you really alright?"
Sighing, she looked down before she shook her head slightly. "I-I it's just hard Jimin-ah. I see him everyday at school and sometimes I even see him with Madison, happy and laughing and every single time I wish that it was me."
She chuckled sadly,"What was I even thinking? Of course he only saw me as a friend, that's what everyone sees me as anyway," she sighed,"Just a friend," she finger quoted.
Just then, she leaned forward and wrapped her arms around my waist, pulling me close to her. Her head fit perfectly into my chest, as my chin naturally rested on the top of her head.
"Thank you oppa. Thank you for being there for me when no one else was." she whispered softly. Ignoring the way my heart raced at the sudden gesture of affection, I slowly hugged her back and stroked her hair, murmuring words of consolation in return.
Present Day
That was the last time we talked about Will and I could tell she was gradually getting over him. At times I knew she was having a hard time as much as she denied it, but I never stopped reminding her that I was always here for her, that we all were. And even though the little voice in my head told me other things, things that my heart felt every time I was with her, I chose to ignore it. For her.
Hearing a door open and loud laugh follow from the living room, I smiled realizing that Yejin, Jungkook and Hyukjin uncle were back from grocery shopping. Getting up from the bed, I made my way towards the living room, smiling widely as I greeted them,"You're back?"
