Since the day Jimin had talked to Will, my non-existent relationship with Will took a turn. We would talk almost all class about the stupidest things, jokes and laughter being thrown back and forth, having the teacher have to shush us constantly.
Saying I was happy was an understatement, but honestly?
This was the best thing that's happened to me, ever, and I can't believe I needed to thank Jimin for that.
Staring at the Smartboard in front of me, my teacher pulled up the warm-up with a list algebraic expressions waiting to be solved.
"Yejin-ah, how do we do this?" Jungkook asked, turning around in his seat to face me. Showing him my answer, I started to explain the problem to him when I felt a pair of eyes on me. Looking to my side, Will was staring at me with a small smile on his face, his eyes glazed over.
Smiling back I asked innocently,"What?"
Chuckling, he shook his head and replied," Nothing but just remind me later, I have something important to tell you."
My eyebrows quirked up at that. Important?Could it..be?
Jungkook tapped my shoulder again, his face impatient as he whined," Yah, help me."
Jimin said,"Jungkook-ah, leave Yejin with him, I'll help you."
He grabbed the sheet from me, and started to explain it to him while sending me an encouraging smile. Sitting back into my seat, I watched Will complete the problems one by one, shaking my head slightly as I noticed he had all the answers wrong, but for one.
"What, what's wrong?" He said seriously, but his eyes playful. I pointed at his sheet and smirked," They're all wrong."
"You're kidding right?"he groaned, scratching his head with his pen.
"Here," I said, taking his notebook and pen, our hands brushing in the process, my heart fluttering at the small touch.
"U-uh, um okay so," I coughed as I cleared my throat. As I pointed out the mistakes he did and how he did it wrong, Will's eyes widened in realization as he nodded,"Ahhhh okay, thanks Yejin."
Smiling back, I replied shyly,"It's not a big deal, but what was that thing you wanted to tell me?"
Immediately his lips curved into a big smile, his white teeth peeking through his pink lips. His eyes began to glow up as I asked him, catching me completely off guard.
"So...,"he trailed off, biting his lip nervously
"So???"I asked in return chuckling slightly, my nerves actually beginning to get the best of me.
Scratching the back of his head, he said shyly," There's this girl that I like, Yejin."
For that second, I swear my heart had stopped. His words echoed in my head as I stuttered, "W-wait what?!"
Chuckling he said nervously,"Yea, I like someone."
"Well who is it?" I asked, curiosity eating me away.
"Hmm I can't tell you." He said smugly.
Raising my eyebrows, I crossed my arms against my chest,"What! Why not?" I asked," I should be able to know my friend's crush, especially since you told me!"
"I just can't tell you until the times right. Don't worry, you'll know who it is." He said smiling," But I'll tell you what she's like."
The times right? I'll know?
The pieces were slowly fitting together when I realized that," Maybe...just maybe I was that girl..."
Was it too confident of me to think that way? Maybe but maybe not? Knowing Will for a long time, I knew he didn't have a lot of girl friends to begin with and I just felt...hopeful ya know?
