23. Shh baby im ok

I woke up sore, it was hard to breathe, I was blinking my eyes to see where was I.
Pale blue, coldness, the smell of disinfectant, beeping machines, needles pricks on my arms, flowers but they were dying, I was in a hospital room that's for sure.
"Ugh" I tried to sit but my lower back shot a horrible pain, the heart monitor fasten, I had to calm down.
I search for the assistant button for a nurse to come, finding it by my leg I quickly pressed it three times, I inhaled and exhaled the pain was getting worst, a redhead came in purple scrubs.
"I am in pain, it is a 9," I said knowing she would ask the number of my pain.
"Um ok I'm going to give you enough till the doctor comes," she said in a very feminine voice, I nodded and clenched my jaw.
"Fuck fuck fuck" I raised my head and clenched my fists, she hurried knowing I was in real pain, soon enough I felt relief, I kept breathing until I had a bearable pain.
"Where is my husband," I asked her, she smiled.
"He said he would take a shower and come soon enough, he also mentions that he needed to pick up your daughter at one of his friends, he never left your side, he is an amazing husband" she honestly said.
"I know that's why I married ugh ow him" I forced a smile, she rubbed her small hand against my shoulder, something tells me she has spoken to Levi like her sympathy was pouring from her, either that or she had it in her to be a nurse.

"How long have I been here? What happened? The last I remember is having breakfast with my family, and Anne going to the bathroom and..." My features fell as I remembered everything, my heart monitor went crazy, the nurse begged me to calm.

"Your girl is OK nothing happened to her I know you are in shock but please calm down" I started hyperventilating, she called for help and soon, I felt a mask being pressed on my face, I tried to calm myself, I felt a needle being inserted in my skin, more voices, male and female were talking but I couldn't understand, I felt sleepy and my eyes were growing heavy, I tried fighting back tiredness but it was impossible, I closed my eyes.

I picked up Chris from Armin's house, all my husbands (and mine even tho I won't openly admit that) friends have been helping taking care of her, even though Chris was having fun I knew she hated not being able to see him, Eren told me she had woken up last night in tears of the memory of her 7th birthday, what a way to remember it right? I parked in front of Armin's apartment building, locking the car I walked and went up the stairway and knocked on his door, soon after he opened it with Chris on his hip, I lightly chuckled at the sight of him, he had multiple ponytails, dozens of necklaces, fake earrings, lip gloss and a tiara that didn't fit his head.
"So?" I asked him raising my brow.
"Princess time daddy!" She giggled, and my heart melted, I took her from Armin, she gave me a peck on my cheek, I did the same and set her on the floor, she pouted and I ruffled her hair making her run away laughing.
"So any news?" I shook my head.
"No, he um, I know he's ok I just want him to wake up," I said with a sad tone, he placed his hand on my shoulder and squeezed it as if saying 'it's ok.
"Anyway" he looked up at me and smiled.
"I made food, and don't say no because you've hardly eaten" I rolled my eyes and nodded since I knew he'd make Chris make me eat.

I stepped inside and saw Chris's mess, I started to pick it up whilst Armin served the food, by the time I was throwing out the trash, Armin called Chris and me to the table, she ran towards me and hugged my legs, I picked her up and walk to the island were three plates of chicken Alfredo and cans of soda were there, I sat with her on my lap and gave her a fork, she quickly started to gobble everything up.
"Chris calms down there's no need to rush," I told her in a warning tone, she nodded and continued eating only slower this time.
"So..." Armin started the conversation. "What's the name of the nurse" I raised a brow.
"You know the redhead," he said sheepishly, I smirked.
"Oh her" he nodded. "Why?" I played with him.
"Um, she's cute?" I laughed, and shook my head, I could see that he had a light blush.
About to finish our meals I finally told him.
"Amy"
"What?" He asked confused picking up his plate and Chris's, I pick up mine, went to the sink to rinse it, and place it in the dishwasher.
"The redhead, her name is Amy" He smiled and thanked me, Anne tugged the hem of my shirt, looking down at her she yawned while rubbing one of her blue eyes, I picked her up and she quickly snuggled against my neck.
"Well I gotta go, I'm gonna let Historia and Ymir have her for the night" Armin nodded, and walked me to the door, he handed me Anne's stuff and we bid goodbyes.

I headed off to Ymir's when my phone rang, I gave it to Chris so she could answer.
"Hello? This is Anne my daddy is driving so he can't use his phone" she tiredly answered, she listen to the other line, and she gasped.
"What what is it?"
"Mommy woke up!" She cried, I pulled over and got the phone.
"Hello?" My heart was beating hard against my rib cage.
"Hey Levi it Amy, he woke up but he had a shock, he's sedated but will wake up in an hour or so, I need you and Chris to come over he needs to see you two" I hadn't realized I was crying until Chris was wiping them away, I smiled wide and big, he woke up.
"Daddy hurry I wanna see mommy!" She pulled my arm and I obeyed her orders, I felt the same when we were in my old truck when he made me take him home because I made him lose his bus, the nervousness I had back then, my sweaty palms, licking my lips, feeling happy, nervous, scared, I felt everything as I did 7 years ago, only now my love for him was stronger.

Call it bad luck, but I couldn't find a close parking space and I had to park a bit far, Anne was jumpy and babbling about how much she missed him, I grabbed Anne in my arms and ran like my life depended on it (which it did), and followed the same path I've taken this last month, my phone rung, I struggled to get it out of my pocket but manage to hold Chris's small frame in one arm and answer with the other.
"Hello?" I was getting breathless.
"Hey, you ok why haven't you come? Is there a problem?" Ymir's voice asked in pure concern.
"No" I took a breath "He woke up" I heard a gasp.
"Oh my god! That's amazing call me later ill tell everyone"
"Ok bye" I hung up, and got to the elevator, and pressed the button to the 6th floor, I tried catching my breath, I looked at Anne and her hair was a mess, I pulled a hair tie out of my pocket at did her hair into a messy bun, by the time I was done the doors opened, I picked my daughter up an rushed to his room, Amy said hi and that he woke up and was waiting for us, I got to his room and grabbed the door handle, then time slowed down as I opened the door, walking to his bed where he laid beautifully like the angel he was to me.

He turned and saw us, his face lighten up tears pricked his eyes, my heart went crazy as he said.
"Hey babe"
