The Homework

Sam's P.O.V (Point of View)

I slowly walked up the stairs and went to my locker to get my things. I wanted to say sorry to Grian but I felt like I needed to cool off first. I opened my locker and saw something in particular catch my eye.

"A note...?" I asked myself. I caught a glimpse of Taurtis looking quickly into his locker. I'm pretty sure he was getting his things for the day so I shrugged it off. I looked at the note and read exactly this:

Dear Sam:

You may not know who this is at first, but I just wanted to write something to you. I don't want to tell you in person yet because I'd feel really awkward about it. But, I think you're really cool. You light up my day whenever we talk to each other and I never want it to end. you really are my Samgladiator.

I had to admit, I was pretty stunned. Nothing like this has ever happened before besides Invader shoving hundreds of notes in my locker most of the time. But this was different, from someone different.

"Taurtis, look! Someone sent me a note in my locker!" I said to him enthusiastically.

"Psh, who would send a note to you bunny boy? Invader?" Dom sneered.

"Shut up Dom, this isn't from Invader!" I yelled at him.

"I would love to see that happen," Dom laughed and walked away. I looked at Taurtis and he seemed to be a little angered by Dom's comments.

"Here, Sam, can I please see that note?" Taurtis asked.

"Sure, Taurtis!" I said enthusiastically. Taurtis scanned over the note for a few moments and smiled.

"Oh, Sam, this looks like someone sent you a love note!" Taurtis joked. I gasped.

"You really think so Taurtis!?" I asked him in shock.

"I can just tell, but the problem is who sent it?" Taurtis asked still smiling. I had a sudden fantasy for a minute.

"Do you think it was Sookie?" I asked getting a little hyper. Taurtis's smile went all the way to a frown.

"Are you okay Taurtis?" I asked worried.

"No, no, I'm fine," Taurtis stated.

"Just hope you figure it out Sam," Taurtis said gravely. Why was he so sad? I know Taurtis of all people wouldn't give me that, we're friends! I heard the bell ring. I immediately ran off forgetting Taurtis. I made it to class just in time!

"J?" Ms. Okami asked.

"Here!" Jay yelled and sat down.

"Taurtis?" Ms. Okami asked once again.

"Here," Taurtis said plainly. He walked to his seat and sat down.

"Sam?" Okami asked.

"Here!" I said enthusiastically. I walked over to my desk and sat down next to Taurtis. Okami went on calling all names until she was finished.

"Okay class, now! Who has done their homework!? To refresh you, it was to draw someone really close to you! :D" Okami said in her usual tone of voice.

"Let's start with J! :D" Okami yelled.

"Yes, Ms. Okami!" Jay went up and showed his drawing.

"So, to start this off, I wanted to draw Grian," Jay said kindly. Everyone looked at Grian and he looked honestly shocked.

"Grian is just, my bestfriend ever since he came to visit Sam and Taurtis, I know he's going to leave soon but I wanted to state that we're best friends forever," J said shyly. J went back to his seat and sat.

"Very nice! :D" Okami cheered. She set off some fireworks.

"Taurtis?" Okami asked.

"I did the homework Ms. Okami!" Taurtis yelled. He went up to the stand where Jay presented.

"So, obviously, I did Sam. He means a lot to me ever since 2nd grade. He helped me during a hard time at our old school and we're friends ever since," Taurtis said kindly.

"Very nice Taurtis! :D" Okami cheered and set off more fireworks.

"Sam?" Okami asked. I quickly grabbed my paper and went up.

"So... I-I drew Taurtis because... uh... we're bestfriends you know? We're always there for each other. And that plan is still working well!" I yelled so everyone can hear me.

"Very nice Sam! :D" Okami cheered once more and set off fireworks. I went to go sit down and Okami finished the lesson.

"Okay children, I've decided to give you a break and no homework! Enjoy your weekend! :D" Okami  said while smiling and set off all of her fireworks at once.

"Yay!" Everyone cheered even me and Taurtis. The bell and rung finally time for lunch!

A/N

Hey guys! I gave you a long chapter today because all of you are very supportive of this book. So about J doing his homework about Grian, I'm going to start advancing they're relationship in more of an affectionate way if you know what I mean? No-- I mean love, love guys. So basically in the chapter after the next one, or in two more chapters it will be the weekend and Taurtis will try to take Sam to places Taurtis thinks is romantic. So that was a sneak preview.
