                                                                       *****************************

"Hey, Y/N," a voice called out faintly behind me. A moment afterwards, I heard the loud creak of the front door being closed and then a tiny jingle from keys hitting the small ceramic bowl in the living room. Though currently I'm in the kitchen making tonight's dinner, I could hear the voice's every move-- the walls here are practically paper thin. "Yeah?" I called back calmly. The moment they stepped inside, I instantly knew who the voice belonged to.

"I'm going on another trip again. Do you wanna come with me?" Y/B/F said enthusiastically while entering the doorway of the kitchen. They opened the pantry and immediately pulled out the chocolate chips I was saving for cookies later.

"I'd love to go," I said, trying to stifle a laugh. Y/B/F's face suddenly took on a goofy smile, and they slowly placed the bag of chocolate chips back inside the cabinet. They turned away from me to search for a new and definitely needed snack.

I stole one glance at Y/B/F and smiled before resuming my meal prep. Every time I look at them, I'm reminded of such an awesome past, like they're a personified form of nostalgia. Y/B/F has grown so much more in the last few months than any other performer of this generation that I could think of; they completely took the internet by storm. Y/B/F is totally an aspiring superstar, and they're ready to attack the nation in kisses and performances. They constantly remind me that they would have never been able to succeed without my help, but I know they've worked much harder than me to get here. I've always been their "agent," promoting them online, booking their shows, making merch, and more. We were incredibly lucky that their first gig took off so well, especially since we never anticipated to get very far. That first gig may have been silly, but someone out there thought it was special enough to put on the internet for the world to see. Y/B/F's song was loved more than they could have ever dreamed of-- and that was the start of their career. Suddenly, we were often booking shows and taking trips to beautiful cities that we ever only imagined seeing in our lifetimes.

Y/B/F was finished in the pantry and before I knew it was already making their way across the apartment. They stopped in the middle of the hallway as if they left something behind. "I almost forgot to tell you! We're leaving soon, like, tomorrow," they said in a flustered manner. "Go and get packing!" I sighed and followed them down the hall to my own room.  Ever since Y/B/F and I became best friends, we made a pact to live with each other once we could afford a nice place. We both knew we'd be better and so much happier making memories together. We made our dreams into a reality, although they did most of the searching.

Before I opened the door to my room, I looked at the blackboard panel I installed on it earlier this year. There were a few drawings here and there of my favorite celebrities, but I noticed that Y/B/F wrote something new: Ur cookies need more sugar. ily thanks. I rolled my eyes, but I still found it funny. I went inside and sat on my bed to think. I'm glad I took this room before Y/B/F got to it simply because of the gorgeous window and the even more stunning view. The window itself was painted white with gold accents, and flower embellishments were carved into its wood frame. The view however, was much more lush. Every morning I get to wake up and see all the blooming and vibrant flowerbeds in the park. In the winter the trees become lined with snow. This view is perfect for me. I know I'm going to miss it on this trip; I always do. Still, I got up and opened my closet with vigor to pack some of my favorite clothes and accessories.

"Hey, Y/B/F!" I shouted from my room. I heard a clamoring outside and what seemed like Y/B/F falling over. They groaned but eventually got up. I must have caught them off guard.
