Chapter One:

Clouds, dark grey clouds danced in the sky like it was forewarning a dangerous storm to come...but it never did. No, for the dorm had guarded the small civilization of near extinct generation of humans, but Safrina saw something in those clouds.... a monster....

Safrina's eyes snapped open, widespread panic lifting through her body. Her heart racing like a jack rabbit, and her breathing rattled by her dream. Her green gaze started to examine her surroundings before hearing a "meow" which made her eyes snapped towards the noise and there she spotted her cat who began to purr almost in comfort to the girl before it jumped onto the bed and made a spot for herself next to Safrina. A soft sigh played from Safrina's lips before she plopped her head down in the soft pillow that seemed to welcome her. She began to drift back into a sleep which only lasted for a few hours before the sound of her alarm had awakened the girl from her slumber, and she quickly slipped out of bed and then turned off the nuisance thing called an alarm clock-telling her that it was time to get ready for school.

How annoying! She wished she didn't have to go to school filled with arrogant people-though she herself wasn't so bright, or that's how she viewed herself. Though it really didn't matter! Slipping on her favorite hoodie the young girl made her way down to the kitchen to be greeted by her brother whom she greeted with a roll of her eyes. "Good morning loser, what are you up to?" she asked with a playful retorted noise making the boy chuckle softly shaking his head at her. "Well good morning to you too Safrina" he said in a happy tone which made her smile at him.
She knew if her aunt had heard what she had said to her brother, she would have flipped and complained to her for using the chosen words she had said, which frustrated the young woman. She was seventeen now and almost considered close to being an adult. In her opinion she should lay off her. Besides! She was entering the last part of the semester for her junior year making her closer to graduating from the school, which she had a huge distaste for. The way the school ran, and how the people treated others who weren't in their "social status" group annoyed Safrina greatly, but she couldn't really complain about it. "Alright smart one lets wake up Aunt and Uncle and get going to school eh?" she said with a smile before grabbing her bookbag and her sketch book-not bothering to eat anything finding that thing pointless.

Another alarm clock was to be sounded from a different room and a different place, but it was clear that they were in the same school district that in which Safrina was to attend. He too had experienced the dream that she carried, and it did scare him a bit to see such a thing as that but shook it off seeing it as a.... bad dream. Rolling out of the bed he let a soft sigh part his lips and he rolled his shoulders before he himself got ready for school. This had to have been the second or third school that he had gone to, and honestly, he resented his constant change, which showed in his lack of care in being late to school. First, he had taken his time. The next thing he did was take the long way to school. He was basically taking his motorcycle for a joy ride before showing his face at the school. Lastly, the male had begun to wander the hallway aimlessly a yellow slip of paper crumbled into a ball and then unfolded into a schedule in which shows the man where to go. A low soft sigh played from his pale lips, he was pretending to be lost and he really wouldn't get penalized for it right? Eventually he would make his way to the class which he was supposed to go to in the first place. The door was closed but unlocked and when he reached out to open it he made sure to stay quiet while he slipped in to take a seat at the front, but sadly the teacher had spotted and stopped him before he could even sit down "Ahh good to see you are finally joining us" came a males voice-which was a bit more squeaky than a normal male's voice. Turning to face their teacher he smiled at him "I apologize I got lost" Adams explained to their teacher. "No need, please can I have your name so I can mark you off as tardy?" the teacher asked which almost made Adams groan. Forcing on a smile Adams stared at the teacher "My name is Adams, I'm new here" he explained to the teacher. "Ah you're the new student! How interesting" the teacher exclaimed "Very well...sit, sit-Next time get to class on time" the teacher said which made Adams shrugged before he sat down, feeling someone's gaze boring into the back of his head.
