So Ryan dragged me in to his office and he really did sound really serious. I still see the raw bruise on his forehead and his stitched cheek is still red and raw. He locked the door and closed all the blinds tightly. I was just leaning there on his desk, still holding the nebulizer. It took him at least five minutes to make sure that everything’s shut and locked. He knew that the guys would try to eavesdrop so he’s just following the precautions. After all that, he silently stood in front of me and put the nebulizer away. “I… I know I’ve done something really stupid and wrong.”

“It is, but that’s what makes you cool sometimes.”

He snickered but it quickly faded.

“I’m really sorry the guys went nuts on you.”

“You heard everything?” His face showed a little surprise,

            I nodded reluctantly, “I guess.”

“You do not know how much I want to kill myself right now.”

“Don’t kill yourself.” I squeezed his arms, “I still need you, doc. I’m on nobody’s side right now, and I’ve seen both sides so both of you are technically in trouble.”

            “I knew you’d say that.”

“Besides, the guys might change their minds when they hear your side. Trust me, the guys are actually soft and mushy but they’re just to bigheaded sometimes.”

“Especially on me. They go brutal on me.”

            “Yea, on you.”

“I’d do the same thing if my sister’s still alive.”

My hands slowly slid up and coiled around his neck, “Please don’t scare me like this.”

He smirked and ran his thumb across my cheek, “I’m sorry. There’s just a lot of things going on in my head.”

I pressed my cheek against the crook of his neck,

He planted a kiss near my ear, “I’m okay.”

I nodded and was hesitating to let go.

“I’m keeping my promise.” He said all of a sudden, “When I made the choice to marry you, I also made the choice to be there for you. I’m marrying you, so I’m going to have to marry your problems too. I’m marrying you, so I’m going to have to take in all your guys.”

“Do you find it disturbing that I’m mostly friends with guys who’s older than AJ?”

“I’m marrying you, so I can be weird just like you.” He pecked my nose lightly. “I’m marrying this unique beautiful girl and I am one hundred percent sure that every single female in this planet, even Riley, is jealous of you. If they’re not, I can do better.”

            “Wow, confidence.”

“I’m marrying the humblest and the most patient beautiful creature I’ve ever seen.”

If he’s playing cheesy, then so can I. “I’m marrying the bravest knight in the kingdom. He bravely fought against the Hydra with a blunt sword.”

“But he’s chopping the heads instead of burning them. So all the Hydra did was to grow and multiply. So your knight in shining armor is probably not so shiny.”
