You had been walking down the streets of this empty town for what it felt like years. The fiery sun was beating down on you and the group for far too long and it was starting to take its toll.

"You're red as a tomato, y/n" Doc said, reaching out and patting you on your uncovered shoulder.

"Well no duh! We're all sunburnt to a crisp" you recall, wincing in pain at the contact Doc's hand made with your irritated skin.

Water had run out a few hours ago when you had started walking. You had all thought it was hot then, but now it had to be over 100 degrees. Warren had been determined to get to a certain place by sun down, but I'm sure she's having second thoughts on that now by the look of pain and vulnerability on her face.

"I think we need a break" Warren sighed out "I'm not sure how much more of this heat I can take"

"We can stop and wait in one of these buildings, then get walking again once the sun goes down a bit" you suggested, stopping in the middle of the road and looking at your surroundings. There were a few shops full of random little toys and gadgets, a liquor store and a police station. Looks like the team would be splitting up, considering Murphy and Warren would want to drown their sorrows in a bottle of vodka and Doc, Vasquez, Addy, 10k and I would search through the police station to see if they had extra weapons that had been left behind.

"Adios amigos" Murphy hollered out and then skipped like an idiot to the doors of the liquor store.

"Wait up you dummy, we gotta clear out the Z's first" Warren ran after him with a big grin on her face.

"Well, we won't be seeing them for a while" Addy giggled out, making the rest of us let out weak laughs at the thought of Murphy and Warren getting drunk off their asses.

The doors of the police station had been locked, but after 10 minutes of sticking a screwdriver and an old Bobby pin of mine into the keyhole, we got in. The building was fairly clean. There were no blood stains on the blue/grey carpet, no rotting corpses laying around, no broken windows or doors and anything. It looked almost untouched.

"This is almost too good to be true" 10k whispered to me.

"I know, it's... Weird" I whispered back, glancing up at him and furrowing my eyebrows.

Addy and Doc searched behind the front desk to see if they could find any guns or weapons. You would imagine that a front desk person at a police station would have some sort of weapon behind the counter, but to our luck there was nothing.

Vasquez went to one of the back rooms to see if maybe they had a gun locker or something of that kind while 10k and I looked for food.

"I'm still on the fence about this place" 10k muttered "I mean come on! If the place was really untouched we would have found at least a hand gun by now"

He did have a point. What if this was just some kinda sick trap? Just a group of crazy people looking to kill or do whatever they want with their victims. Thinking about the possibilities made me sick to my stomach.

"Hey, 10k, I'm gonna step outside for a minute. I'm not feeling too good"

"Be careful, okay? Look out for Z's" 10k looked concerned, but didn't stop me from going outside.

I pushed open the doors and was flooded with the hot, humid air. Another strange thing about the station, the power was working and it was air conditioned, so the heat felt almost foreign when I stepped outside, and it felt even hotter than before, like I was under the oven broiler and being cooked on the outside.

Just as I was about to open the doors to go back inside I saw something in the distance. I narrowed my eyes a bit and noticed it was a huge pickup truck with giant tires, almost the size of me on it. Now that's the kind of car of want in the zombie apocalypse.

Any nerves that I had completely disappeared when the truck pulled up beside the building and I saw that there was a young-ish woman, maybe 25-30, driving the truck and not some greasy old man looking for trouble. The woman literally jumped out of the truck and surprisingly landed on her feet despite the far drop.

"Not a very good idea to be out here all on your own now, is it?" The woman spoke in an almost southern accent. She was wearing a salmon colored tank top and a pair of high waisted shorts, a little provocative for the situation I suppose.

"Oh no I'm not alone, my group are just looking for supplies inside" I chirped, trying to be kind and make a good first impression "I was about to go in actually, do you want to come with me? It's nice and cool in there"

"Oh that won't be necessary, Hun, you'll be coming with me actually"

"Wha-" before I could finish my sentence 2 men came up from behind me and picked me up from the waist and started to carry me towards the truck.

"Let me go! Let me go!" I yelled out, struggling to break free of their strong grip, but it was useless. The men were buff with tattoos covering their muscular arms and they both had shaved heads, I'm guessing so no man, woman or Z could grab on.

"Guys get her in the back let's go!" The woman yelled to them "we are way behind schedule"

Oh gosh what am I gonna do? Where are they going to take me? The group won't know what happened, they'll think I ran away or got eaten by a Z. I remember the look of worry on 10k's face earlier, I know it would kill him if anything happened to me.

"10K! 10K! PLEASE HELP ME THEY WANT TO TAKE ME!! PLEASE" I screamed out, louder then I have ever screamed in my life, my voice echoed through the whole town. I'm sure anyone from miles away could hear my panicked cries for help.

Just about as I was starting to lose hope, the whole group, including 10k rushed out of the police station and Warren and Murphy sprinted out of the liquor store as well.

"You put her down right this second or I will not hesitate to blow your brains out" 10k roars with a burst of confidence and anger, lifting his rifle and aiming at the two men.

"And I will not hesitate to blow hers out" one of the men takes out a gun and pressed it against my forehead, keeping his finger rested on the trigger, ready to fire if the group made any attempt to shoot "now put your weapons down and get on the ground"

Murphy didn't have a weapon so he just got down on his hands and knees, the rest of the group lowered their weapons and did the same as him.

"I'm sure we can come up with some sort of agreement here" Warren lifted her head and looked at the pink topped woman.

"No, we can't" she hissed and ran to the driver side of the truck, before climbing up the side and getting in. The men shoved me in the back on the truck and slammed the door in my face, I pulled on the handle but the door was locked from the outside, meaning I couldn't unlock it even if I tried.

"I pressed my hands and face up against the window and looked out, seeing 10k frantically getting off his knees and trying to run to me, but it was too late. The engine revved loudly and the truck took off at full speed, going east. The opposite direction in which I was going with them team. I'm fucked
