"(Y/N)... Mommy's gone away." Dad was leaning over you. His brown hair was slicked back in contrast of it's usually spiky style and his dark blue eyes glistened with tears. In his hand, he was clutching a diamond ring so hard his knuckles were pale and there were huge red spots under his eyes like a raccoon.

"Okay... when is she coming back?" You piped up in your usually high-pitched voice. This was completely normal. Your Mom always went on trips due to the fact that she was part of a huge company that created some amazing invention that sold millions. She was usually on a trip to discuss the product with other companies or parts of her company that lived in other cities, states or even countries. Though it was strange she hadn't said goodbye before this trip. She was practically super woman, balancing her normal life with her work life. She was a huge neat freak so she had a schedule of all the times she would be home. When she was home, she was completely different.

Her blond hair was always in a messy ponytail and she often wore flannels, bright-colored t-shirts and skinny jeans with high tops. She smiled all the time and spent endless hours with you and your dad. She never gave up on anything and was always so willing to play and cheer you up when you were down.

Your dad laid eyes on you for many heartbeats, his face went pale and his screwed his eyes shut and you could hear his teeth sliding back and forth on each other. His hand opened up and released the ring which clattered to the floor and shook before being still. He was once kneeling before you on one knee but now he stood up and watched towards the door.

Just before he exited, he turned towards you, a grim look in his eyes and said "Never."

While you have been young you understood what this meant. You had experienced death before. It was with a friend. However you were younger, there for you didn't feel the grief as strong. But now. The emotions crashed down and although you were 12 you understood.

The happy memories, the laughing, the baking cookies until 2 AM,the random car drives to a junky toy store, making fun of cheesy 90s movies and having singing competitions even though both of you had terrible voices.

It was over.

And while you were in a mansion with servants, butlers, maids, chefs and a dad and you had 3 friends....

You had never felt so alone in your life

3 hours later

You stood, crying before your mother's grave. The funeral was 2 weeks ago. Your father deliberately kept the news from you. Why? You didn't know, nor did you care. She was gone and that was it.

You slumped down and buried your face into your hands, low moans and cries were muffled through your hands.

She had given you a doll, a doll with black hair and overalls on.

You had torn it to shreds an hour after you were told.

Sniffing, you picked up a daisy and plucked every single petal off one by one. Why had she died? She had got hit by a car! That stupid driver should've looked to see where he was going! Now Mom was gone and she never coming back.
