"I'm not stopping until it's perfect."
An hour later I leave the dance room satisfied. I finally finished choreographing a song my friends randomly threw at me to test my choreographing skills. They all know I like to dance but when they found out I do my own choreographing, they wanted to test me.

"Here," I say, throwing a DVD at my friend, Jenny, the next day at school.
"What's this?" She asks, looking confused.
"It's the coreo you guys wanted me to do."
"You finished already?!" She said sounding much too surprised.
"Umm... Yes," I say, slightly offended.
"Guys! Gigi finished the choreo," Jenny calls out. Everyone seemed to have the same surprised reaction...
"Let's go to the library and watch it real quick!" Ellie calls out. They all rush out toward the library but I decide to stay put at our spot since they left everything behind and I don't really want to be there to see their judging eyes view my work. They all come back a few minutes later and to my surprise, they seemed to have liked it very much.
"It was sooo good!"
"I didn't know you could dance like that"
"You should do this professionally!"
"Can I post it on YouTube?" Jenny asks.
"No no no no no," I reply quickly.
"Oh come on!" They say in unison as if they had known my answer and practiced before hand.
"No. I don't want any attention. I just like to do this on my own you know?" I say, somewhat pleadingly.
"Fiiiiine. I think you should share your talents though," Jenny says.
"I'm glad you guys liked it but I don't want people making fun of me or anything."
"Who would make fun of that!" they youngest in our quartet, Leia says, "it was amazing."
"I'm really flattered you guys but no thanks," I say. The bell rings, Jenny and I grab our stuff, say our goodbyes to Ellie and Leia and take off to our calculus class. "Ready to fail this test?" I ask.
"Oh yes," Jenny replies.
Midway through the test I get a call slip to go to the office because my parents are there to pick me up. Confused yet relieved to no longer have to endure the torture of calculus, I pack up my bags and go to the office.
"Eomma," I say as I enter and see my mother.
"RiGi, come with me to the car, you're dad can finish here," she says seeming somewhat panicked.
"What's wrong?" I ask as I begin to panic myself.
"RiGi-ah I need you to listen to me. Please don't object and just do as I say, this was a hard enough decision on your father and I already." I nod in agreement. My mom sighs then starts, "as you know, your father lost his job a while ago. We haven't been doing too well financially and I hate to see you suffer here, eating the bare minimum and now we are losing our house. Before we let that happen, your dad and I have decided to sell the house and we're moving back to Korea. I know this is all very very sudden and we're jerking you out of your life but my sister has finally found us a decently priced house in Busan and I don't think we'll find a deal like this again if we don't take it now. We need you to pack your bags, say your goodbyes to all your friends tonight, we're leaving in two days."
We're sitting in the car now and I have heard every word she has said yet my brain has not comprehended a single word. "Moving back to Korea?" I think, "I've never lived in Korea! I've never even been there to visit our family. My parents may be 'going back' but I'm leaving everything I know." I say nothing because I can see the strained look on my moms face.
"Araso," I finally say, "I'll text my friends now."
That night I pack up my stuff, hug my friends goodbye and go to sleep with tears in my eyes, knowing everything that I'm leaving behind. But little did I know what I had in store.
