chapter 9

Yuki’s pov

I stand on a tree branch, ready for kakashi to attack. I keep my guard up. After around 5 or so minutes Kakashi still hasn’t attacked. I think over some tactics, I could stay in this tree and fight him but then I wouldn’t have much room to attack and move around, or I could use this as a chance to get to a clear area which would increase my chance in wining. I quickly jump from tree to tree to look for a reasonable place to fight a jounin rank ninja.

I find a small area surrounded by trees, it could be dodgey to fight here but it’s better than being in trees. I jump down into the small area. I pull out a kunai ready for an attack.

In a flash kakashi appears next to me flinging a kick at me, I jump backwards, avoiding the kick. Kakashi stands up strait, still reading his icha icha book. I throw my kunai at him but he easily moves out of the way.

“I have to say I thought you would be better than this Yuki” Kakashi taunts me.

“I’m only getting started kakashi…”

“Well if that’s the case, I guess I will put icha icha away.” Kakashi says while putting the book in his weapons pouch.

Throwing things is useless, he’ll dodge them with ease, if I use jutsu now it won’t have much effect, I need to get him a little tired out first and to do that I guess I will have to do taijutsu.

I run at him and swing a kick at his side; he jumps back, avoiding my kick. I run at him again and I throw tones of punches and kicks at him, he blocks all of them but some he had trouble avoiding. I have very good stamina so I can go like this for ages. Kakashi gets a little tired after around twenty minutes; I begin to actually get a few hits on him.

We jump away from each other, Kakashi breaths heavily, out of breath. I smirk, it worked, I got him tired.

I begin to make hand signs for a jutsu. I put two fingers next to my mouth and take a deep breath in, feeling the water building up.

“Water style; fury wave!” I shout then let the water out of my mouth, squirting it all over Kakashi. When all the water has gone, it reveals a drenched Kakashi. I concentrate chakra into the tips of my fingers, electricity sparks from my fingertips. I run at Kakashi and jab him with my electricity, the water conducts the electricity and electrocutes Kakashi, causing him to spaz out a bit while being electrocuted, I take this as my chance and grab all the bells from Kakashi, I jump back with all three bells in hand and Kakashi falls to the ground fried.

*riiiiiinnnngggggg!!!* the alarm clock goes off. I put the bells in my pocket and go over to Kakashi and crouch down next to his burnt body. I poke him to check he is still alive.

“can you stop poking me Yuki…” Kakashi grumbles.

“thank god, I didn’t kill you” I let out a sigh of relief. Kakashi sits up and glares at me.

“don’t blame me for this! It’s your fault for telling us to come at you with the intent to kill.” I scold him. He lets out a sigh.

“lets just go and meet up with the others.” I hold my hand out to him and he takes it, he stands up but has a little trouble walking at first so I put arm around his waist and fling his arm over my shoulders. We walk together to meet up with the others, me supporting him the entire way. While walking to the meeting point we begin to talk.

“you did well back there, but do you know the real point for this test?” Kakashi glances at me.

“it was to test our team work. Correct?” I ask

“yeah it was. Did you try to do any team work?”

“yeah I did try but the boys are so stubborn and then Sakura couldn’t really care less for this test, all she cares about is her precious Sasuke-kun. So in the end I did my own thing and went after you by myself.” I tell him, he nods understanding what I’m saying. The rest of the walk we both stay quiet, enjoying the silence.
