-Raina-

Like always, I was a week into summer school for preparations to going into 8th grade and bits of the SHSAT. In case you're wondering, why would you want to do that? It's very simple actually. I'm Chinese and 70-80% of us has summer school in the summer.

As you can see, I'm going to be in 8th grade this year but first I have to go through this. Sigh.

I took a little breath while walking towards the door to my classroom. I looked at it again and opened the door.

Yes! Jay was sitting right right in front of the door. I quickly sat down next to him. He was my friend during Saturday school. I usually make guy friends more than female friends in this prep school. I already know I'm a tomboy. Although my casual shirt and my bracelet says otherwise, I'm a tomboy, from head to toe. I always put this unflattering sweater on that doesn't always match what I'm wearing, wear casual jeans every single day, and I even walk and speak like a guy. I'm not into girls though, and I can tell a handsome guy a mile away. I just don't go beyond my reach so I look away. This face of mine isn't attractive anyway and my body is way too unlikable. I'm very materialistic and I know some of my limits.

We start chatting right away, talking about whatever we talked in Saturday school, like anime and other things (give up Raina, we know it was just anime). Chatting all the way through math, our English teacher came in and looked around, Ms. Kathy. She was the same English teacher we had in Saturday school.

"You guys. You're getting a  little to comfortable in your seats." She told us to rise and line up outside the classroom. "We're changing seats."

i groaned a little bit. It was nice that we were comfty and it probably won't change things anyway. I always find someone to talk to in the span of a week. I secretly glared at her and prayed I wasn't going to sit next to douches or something.

One by one, she kept calling peoples name and directing them to a seat. I glance behind me to see if there was anyone who looked like I could be friends or if I knew them. I saw the girl behind me. She was looking at the teacher. Then, she turned around to one of her friends, which I knew from last year but wasn't friends with her. I turned away and I was 3rd to being called. She called the other 2 students and directed them. Ms. Kathy then called mine name and I was then seated next to a guy named Derrick. I sat next to him and a little amount of dissapointed air came out of my nose. He didn't look like someone I could get along with. He was also pretty tall, considering I'm not even 5 feet. Close but no cigar.

There was supposed to be a guy next to me, Kristoffer, but he didn't show up. She moved next and called the rest of the students. Great, friendless. Jay sat in the first row and I was in the fourth.

The people behind me were quite loud and chatty. They were talking to a guy in the same row as me. Four people in total. I looked behind me and saw the girl that I mentioned earlier, a guy from Saturday school that didn't know me, and a guy I didn't know.

What I didn't know was that they were going to be my friends and slightly ruin my life.

Author's Note

Hi guys! I'm not sure anyone reads this but I don't care! (< this girl here is a bit of a nutcase). Raina is a character from my first story which I don't know if I will continue or not. This is a story about her before high school and movement to Ella's neighborhood. I will probably continue this because.......that's a secret ;D

Hope you enjoyed reading it! Comment below or vote? I'm a noob at wattpad so idk ><
