Chapter 1. Grandpa

Grandpa POV.

It was Christmas eve, I was slowly getting more tired, form hosting our wonderful Christmas party it was pretty late for me, after all I'm an old man. It was time for the presents, for my lovely granddaughter (y/n), she's our pride and joy, along with our own daughter of course. 
As I was getting up from my chair I felt a sharp pain in my leg, I let out a small grunt before i fell back on to the couch "my dear (y/n) could you get grandpa his cane from the closet" I asked my granddaughter, she ran out from the livingroom, I couldn't help but chuckle a little.
After a few minutes she cam back with my cane and I was escorted into our master bedroom were my daughter, son-in law and wife was waiting with the first aid, as it was to late to go to the hospital, and since it most likely was an old injury from when I was on our farm in Stardew Valley, before I meet my beautiful wife.

After my daughter and wife had inspected my leg they quickly judged it was only a minor injury, but that I had to go to the hospital tomorrow, I sighed and didn't bother argue since it would ruin our Christmas mood.
I reached out for (y/n)s hand, to say goodnight and goodbye as it was getting late and my daughter and her family had to go home, as i toke her hand, i gave her a letter "my dearest (y/n), there will come a day were you feel crushed by the burden of morden life, and your bright spirit will fade before growing emptiness, this my little butterfly is your gift from me, only open it when you feel you want to escape the city and it's noises" I smiled slightly before giving her a big kiss on her forehead, after wich I slowly drafted into a deep slumber.

Your POV.

I giggled lightly and returned out to my parents who was getting dressed to go home, but i couldn't help but wonder what grandpa had giving me, i was curious to see whats in the letter, but I knew my grandpa and decided to wait until I needed it, if I ever will, I entered our car and fell asleep on our way home.
