(Her P.OV.) Emma
Here I am. Standing in front of my new school. I'm starting my first year of high school today. Still can't believe the fact that I'm here. Seems just like yesterday when I was deciding which school had the best results and the best location for me to choose. And now I'm finally here. Starting a new chapter in life. All by myself. This school is a lot bigger than my previous school and it looks kind of artistic but cold. There is a giant hurl of people around and everything is making my thoughts quiet. That is pretty understandable considering the fact my school is in the London city centre. I come from a small town where everyone knows each other. Where I grew up a few farms were around. Some now abandoned and sold. Life there was quite nice but I never felt like I belonged there. And now that I'm here in the middle of this giant city with all these people rushing around me, minding their own business and moving forward I have a felling of, the oh so needed, belonging. The piece I craved for in my blunt life. I was really looking forward to this. For two years, two long unticipated years, I've been imagining for the evolve of events that would get me here. Moving to my dad's place and going to an averege high school. All though my dad works all day and there isn't going to be cooked lunch every time I get home like it used to be when I was living with mum, nonetheless, I'm happy. I feel like I need a fresh start and some new people, young souls to bring me experiences and a taste of their friendship in my life.

After a few minutes of rethinking my scedule for the day I finally decided to enter the school. The door is made of metal - very artistic and very heavy. As I entered I noticed a few kids standing in the lobby under the stairs. They were all staring at their phones. What a surprise. After a few minutes I noticed a girl with coloured hair, dressed in black. Hanging there, off her shoulder there was a full looking bag with one of my favourite bands printed on it. I smiled knowing there are people with good music taste in our school.

It took me some time and awkward stares to find my class. I had the school map but it didn't help me much. There were some kids sitting in the class already, quietly chatting away. The girl I saw in the lobby was in my class. Thank God there is someone I'm going to annoy with my weird band obsessions. She was sitting next to a girl with wild, curly hair. She was all giggly and happy. I hoped we're going to be friends, although I am not the type to walk over to people. There were other girls too but they weren't the kind of people I like to hang out with, they looked dull, like the same shirt in different colours. Soon the class was filled with students. The people I was put in the same small community with. We met our teacher, Mrs. Sculls. A nice older lady. She spoke with a soft tone, giving us a warm welcome into the school. After she finished explaining the school programme we went into the cafeteria to have a snack. The cafeteria was decorated quite industrial and modernized style but it seemed small for the mass of people that were in it. Most of the seats were already taken by other 1st years. I nearly started to panic, as I had nowhere to go, but then the giggly girl from my class asked me to sit with her and her friend who sat next to her in our classroom. As we sat down another girl joined us. She was also wearing all black. I liked her as well, she didn't hide her opinion and was smiling. You could feel her excitement and see the spark in her eyes. After a few minutes I learned their names. So the one with curly hair and always smiling is Luna, a beautiful name that nicely matched her kind personality, a squishy little ball of enthusiasm. The girl with colourfuly dyed hair is named Enyo, it's a name from Greek mythology, very cool. She looked distant and shy. Almost as if she was scared someone will hurt her. And the last one, dressed in all black is Caroline, she has a great sense of humour and can be really adorable. And so we talked about things we like, it was exciting for me to get to know them. At the end of the day I knew this is the start of a great friendship. I was really glad I had the chance to meet such nice people on the first day and was hoping for it to last. It got me really excited for the days to come. This was the start of an amazing year. Or so I thought.
