Chapter 21

*Emma's P.O.V.*

I jumped at least five feet into the air, having a high-pitched squeal interrupt my nice dream. My heart was racing as my brain tried to adjust where I was. After about a minute, I remembered I was on a plane and Connor was- not next to me. I stood up a little, perking my head over the seats to try and find him. I looked towards the front of the plane cabin and saw Connor with a small group of girls squealing and taking pictures. Well, this ride was fun, being alone.

"Ugh, Connor." I sighed and pulled out my phone from my pocket. I was going to log onto Tumblr until something hit me - the plane wasn't moving. I looked out of the window to my left and saw that we have already landed. How did I sleep through this? I think we just landed because everyone just now started to get up and get their bags. I perked my head over the seats once more to see if Connor was still over with the girls. He was. I groaned and stood up. I grabbed my purse, which was the only carry-on I took, and hoisted it over my shoulder.

"Could you sign my phone case?"

"Could you follow me on Twitter?"

"I love you, Connor!"

"Your hair is really cute this way!"

Pretty much every teenager on this plane was over with Connor. I frowned and waited for pretty much everyone else to get off of the plane. Finally, I just went the opposite way from the girls and walked off of the plane without consulting Connor. If he needed me, he'd call me. I trusted him.

When I got into the building I sat on the nearest bench to our plane, waiting for him. After around ten minutes he walked out with the girls following him. He looked up and immediately saw me, smiling. I stood up and walked to him.

"Hey, I was looking for you." He said.

"Oh, I was just out here waiting." All of the girls behind him were gasping. "Uh?" I awkwardly smiled at the ten girls and looked at Connor. "Did you make your own little posse?" He chuckled.

"I guess I did!" He smiled, turning to the girls, which made them squeal again. I laughed and turned around.

"I'm going to get our suitcases, Connor." I yelled as I walked away.

"Em, wait!" He ran up to my side and grabbed my hand.

"I thought you were hanging with your fans?"

"I told them that I needed to go and hang out with my beautiful girlfriend." I blushed.

"Well finally." I teased.

"Sorry-"

"Don't you say sorry. If I was famous I'd do the same." I smiled. He leaned in and pecked me on the lips.

"Thanks kitten."

"So, where you headed?" The taxi driver asked us both.

"To the New York City Apartments, Murray Hill." He nodded and began to drive. "You sure about this, Connor?"

"Positive. It'll be a fun adventure." I smiled. He pulled me closer and put his arm around me.

"Not too shabby." Connor claimed as we dropped out bags on the floor. Our apartment was on the third floor. There was two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen.

"I know, the apartment is really small... But the rent is $2,500 so it's okay for now."

"Two thousand dollars?! Emma, that's the cost of a car!" Connor yelled.
