You go to school one day and there's a new kid named Frisk, you start talking to the flirty child and get along really well, you become best friends and then one day they take you to their home which to your surprise, has only 'monsters' living there.
You stay for the night and Toriel makes butterscotch and cinnamon pie, Papyrus and Undyne 'make' spaghetti and this one skeleton makes jokes the whole time, you soon click his personality and name together (Comic Sans). A lizard who loves science and anime helps you and Frisk out with your biology homework and gives you a list of anime to watch, the whole night Papyrus won't stop smiling because he made a new friend and feels so popular and cool.
