I woke up and looked around. Why was i in a hospital? I sat up more but fell straight down. My head was pounding and i was in the most uncomfortable bed ever "Your awake.whew finally" i hear my moms voice i look over and see her she has an unreadable face "You've been out for 2 weeks" I nod "What happened?"I asked. 

She shrugs " .The doctor Says your lungs closed in but they said its most likely caused from your asthma. They also said now you just need to go home and lie down after taking these" she says showing me a bottle of pills. "i also bought you some diet pills" she whispers "they help the hunger" i nod putting my head down,This was all so...bizarre.I felt like she didn't even care I was out for two weeks and honestly... I didn't care that much either. 

"Your going to school this morning because i can't have you at home.I'm having company over" she says handing me clothes,Makeup, and shoes. I noticed they were all brand new.  That  weren't my size though.My smile drops "These aren't my size." 

She smiles wide "The doctors injected this stuff into you that causes weight shortage which bumped you pant size to one size lower" she says excitedly "those kids will never pick on you again"  i nodded. Not caring all that much "Mom.This shirt isn't my style" i said holding up the floral shirt she sighs and rolls her eyes. "take this one" she says throwing me a sweat shirt that said one finger 2 words. i nodded smiling. I changed and then put on my loads of make up. I was actually satisfied with the fact i was...smaller? 

"Take 4 instead of 2" my mom says handing me the 4 diet pills "Mom.I don't think i can" she looks me in the eyes and holds my hands in hers "We have to show them that you are not a door matt Cat.and we have to show them you cant be stepped on.I won't let them call you fat.This can easily be fixed."

Fixed? FIXED!?! "I'm not broken" i argue. She sighs "sweet pea...Just take them" i roll my eyes and look down "hears to being fat" i mumble. i  take all four and then leave out the door with her.I can't believe i just got ready in a hospital.

"Oh yeah." my mom says her eyes still on the road. she digs through her purse 

"there it is" she says as she takes out a velvet box. "your dad sent you that yesterday" she says smiling at it "i haven't seen it so hurry up and take it out." she commands.

I take out a little necklace with two charms on it One with peter pan and the other was a moon with a star that said Neverland. When i was little my dad would read me peter pan every night before i wen't to sleep. we would pretend we were in Neverland. and i would be peter pan and he would be Captain hook. i had the best relationship with him. better than the one i have with my mom. He sends me a little gift whenever he can. "well,say goodbye to it because we have to pawn it." my head shoots over to her "No"

She looks at me then back at the road "what do you mean no? we need the money"  she says "I mean 'No'" i say holding the fragile necklace away from her "He left us Cat" she says getting loud "HE DIDN'T LEAVE US HE LEFT YOU" i scream. She stops the car about at least a block away from my school. "Get out" she said her voice cracking i stare at her for a  while "GET OUT!" she screams making me flinch. I get out as and i start to walk  as she drives away and i sigh. My mom hates when i talk about him.But someone had to put her in her place. I started walking to school. All could think about were the pills in my backpack.I really do want to loose weight.I'm so tired of the jokes. and the people pushing me around...

I finally get to school and realize that i'm already late i grab my pass and run to choir since i have to that project today with that one guy...he never told me his name though. I walk into the classroom and all eyes are on me "Emmm... Kat? Hi" Mrs.Jones says i smile "Hi" she smiles looking me up and down. "Well you and shawn can go up...i guess" Shawn...ohhh his name is shawn i walk up in front of the class and he walks up with me "we are  singing read all about it" he whispers in my ear as he grabs his guitar "know the song?" he asks i shake my head...he's really cute and his smile is like...perfection.  He starts to lighty strum his guitar

Some people clap and some don't but shawn didn't seem to care "Your voice is amazing" he tells me. I look down trying to hide my blush "Thank you" i say. "You too" i add he smiles widely  "Thanks" he answers back "we should partner up for the next project" he suggests i just shake my head "Sure" i reply. He walks away over to a group of guys...the guys that always make fun of e..i knew it was too good to be true. My head started to hurt and i knew it was because of me not eating. I walked to the bathroom and took four of the pills "worthless,ugly,pathetic,fat"  i said to myself as i looked in the mirror...
