A/N: Wednesday's update! I feel like I'm slowing down asjkfjdsklafdkls I need moar motivation. I just love this kind of idea/prompt. Pure sappy fluff. I'm actually kind of working on the whole biology of nagas to see how this would even be possible. And I know that pregnant women don't really feel kicks later in their pregnancy, but shhhhhhhhh.

Nestling deep into the nest, you rested your head against against the rim, closing your eyes. You hushed a soft giggle as you felt a warm hand place itself on your swollen stomach, rubbing gentle circles as a pair of lips placed a kiss to your temple.

"Do you need anything? Are you comfortable enough?"

"I'm fine, Genesis." You replied, opening your [E/C] eyes to be greeted with his brilliant blue ones. They held a warm tenderness that melted your heart.

It had been a few months since it had been concretely proved that you were pregnant. A while before that, he had started to ask you if you were pregnant. You were a little taken aback by his sudden remark. You hadn't been gaining weight, or been acting in any way that would suggest you were with child. You simply brushed it off as him coming off of the mating season high.

Then you started missing your periods, acting moody, and craving specific foods.

And when your stomach showed faint signs of a rounding, you knew you were pregnant.

Nature had obviously made a horrible mistake by allowing a human and a naga to make babies together. But, after awkwardly telling him that you were well, expecting, he took the news very well. He obliged to your needs and dealt with your mood swings.

When you started to show a baby bump, he became incredibly doting and protective. He offered to carry you when you needed to go somewhere, and was always mindful of how comfortable you were. In fact, you had learned better than to complain if your back hurt, because the naga would scoop you up into his arms and carry you without a second thought. It was then that he started remaking the nest to be softer so you could sleep better.

As time passed, he started to change his sleeping habits. He used his tail to comfort you, and was almost always had it lying protectively against your belly. Sometimes, he would even rest his head against your belly, cuddling up next to it. In other words, you were cuddled almost constantly.

After letting out a quiet 'oomph', the naga looked up at you with concern. You giggled at his constant doting, and explained, "It's just the pups, I think they're awake now."

The pups (a term used to describe young, infant, or developing nagas) were very active. You were very thankful that they never 'kicked' at night, otherwise you wouldn't be getting any sleep. The only problem was, that when one pup started to move around, all of its siblings woke up, too. You personally thought it was twins, maybe triplets, judging by the size of of your seventh-month belly.

"Are they too active for your liking?" He asked, nuzzling your cheek.

"Maybe a little." The naga rubbed your stomach, smiling broadly when he felt a pup move against his hand. You could tell he was proud by the expression on his face. Their father's touch always seemed to calm the pups down.

"Oh dear, I think one of them has the hiccups."

"Is that a bad thing?" He asked with concern.

"No, they just need a minute or two to get back to normal, but I do hope that hiccups in the womb aren't contagious." You giggled, the naga smiled at you, laying down in the nest with you. He curled up next to you, resting his head next to your stomach. Deciding some rest would do some good for you and the pups, you closed your eyes and relaxed. Only rubbing your swollen stomach when you felt one shift.

"I can hear them." He murmured lovingly, opening his eyes.

"Hear what?"

"The pups. A little heartbeat, no maybe two. I can't exactly say, they sound very close together." Your heart lept.

"Y-You can hear them!?"

"Clear as day." He pushed himself up with a smile full of pride. You smiled back, leaning in for a kiss. He gladly leaned in as well and the two of you had a chaste kiss. You squeaked when one of the pups gave a particularly hard 'kick'. The naga rubbed your very pregnant tummy in response, helping to calm the pups. The two of you wound up cuddling in the nest, talking about the little miracles that were soon to enter the world.

Both of you were very eager to meet them.
