Annie let out a quiet sigh, resting her chin against the palm of her hand. Instead of paying attention to her teacher, Mr. Levi Ackerman, her eyes wandered to the other students stuck in the classroom with her for the next 15 minutes. Eren looked like he was ready to rip his hair out, not like she could blame him. Mikasa had the same stoic look on her face. Typical. Then her eyes fell upon the blonde haired boy who's eyes kept flickering between the teacher and his notes. It amazed her how Armin was the only one devoted to listening to this lecture.
She didn't realize she was staring until a note was passed onto her desk from the freckled boy in the seat next to her. Raising a brow at him until he smiled and mouthed 'from Mina'. Annie leaned forward to send a questioning look to Mina, only for her friend to point at the note encouragingly then turning her attention back to the teacher.
The blonde rolled her eyes before unfolding the piece of paper, trying to be as discreet as she could.
"You should just ask him out already. It's obvious he likes you too, so stop fantasizing and talk to him."
Annie could feel her cheeks burn as she sent a sharp glare in her friend's direction. Grabbing her pencil, she scribbled back a response. "I'm not fantasizing. Mind your own business."She refolded the note before handing it back to Marco so it could be tossed down the line back to Mina. Once it reached the black haired girl, Annie didn't even have to look at her to know that she wasn't satisfied with her response. After another round of the paper being brought back to her, she opened it up again.
"Come on, Annie. You think I can't hear those little remarks you make when we see Armin in the hallway? 'Cute face', 'Cute smile', 'Nice butt'... Shall I go on?"
"Okay I get it. What would I even say to him? 'Hey, nice butt. Mind if I get a better look sometime?'" The stoic girl wrote back sarcastically, having no intention of giving a serious answer.
When Mina read over her reply, she let out a quiet snicker at the girl's sense of humor. "Are you trying to go on a date or get him into bed?"
"Who says I can't shoot for both?" Shaking her head slightly with a small smirk grazing her lips. Folding it for the third time before handing it to Marco, who looked rather confused as to what they could be talking about. Knowing it wasn't any of his business, he passed it back over to Ymir.
Unlike the kind boy beside her, she was tired of the note passing and wanted to take a look for herself. After opening the paper and reading the contents inside, the freckled brunet flashed a devious smirk to Annie. She leaned forward and tapped the folded note on Sasha's shoulder. Opening her mouth to whisper, "To Armin."
Annie felt her heart sink to her stomach. Catching the eye of Ymir and sent the deadliest glare she could as Sasha grabbed the paper and motioned it forward to the blonde boy. The poor girl could only sit in horror as Eren caught Armin's attention before handing it to him.
He set his pencil down and gave a puzzled look. Eren only shrugged before returning to stare at no place in particular. His hands started to unfold it, unaware of the three pairs of eyes watching him. Ymir in amusement, Mina in shock, and Annie in the utmost terror.
Armin had just about fully opened the paper before Mr. Ackerman noticed the lack of attention of the students. Clearing his throat loud enough to bring their eyes back to him. "Unless you brats want to stay in here with me longer, I suggest you pay attention."
At that Armin quickly folded the note back and shoved it into his pocket. Annie released the breath she was holding and scowled back to a smug looking Ymir, mouthing 'I. Will. End. You.'
