I screamed her name, trying to find her. I heard a loud scream and ran faster. But when I heard it again it was coming from a stranger's backyard. I ran back with the boys so they could catch up.
"There's someone back there" I yelled pointing to the yard. Josh and Caden together walked into the backyard slowly pushing the gate open.
"Hello?!" A voice beamed through the silent entering flames of the house. We walked around the corner of the falling wood to see a silhouette of a female. Her hair and white dress covered in ash.
"Help..My boyfriend...he's still in there" she muttered. Caden ran into the house while Josh helped me with the girl, every minute looking at the house for a sign of the large football player.
"What's your name?" I tried to ask while stroking the ash off her dress.
"M-Madison" she stuttered, a single tear freeing itself from her eye.
"I think I need to go help them" Josh whispered towards me. I nodded my head and he bolted into the half burnt building.
"Are you okay?" I asked Madison, I waited a while before she replied.
"I'm okay...I think? But my boyfriend, Blake. He's stuck inside. I crawled out while the flames took the house and-" She couldn't continue, I guess the thought was to unbelievable to relive in words. I held her hand.
"Don't worry, my boys can stand anything. Do you know perhaps what's going on?"
"No, I was listening to Hollywood Undead on my couch when I heard the ticking from outside. That's when the fire started."
As she finished, Josh and Caden dragged out a limp body. I could barely see his face. It looked as if he was drenched in acid, a dark ash covering any crevice.
"BLAKE!" Madison screamed and the tears fell heavily from her face. She charged for the boy, but caden pushed her back.
"Don't, there's something on him." He glanced back at the body. A movement explored his chest area then this stomach.
"What the hell is that?" Josh said, on the edge of freaking out. A puff of air came out of the body as a long black snake curled its way out of his mouth, it looked almost mechanical. Its skin soft, its eyes glowing into the soul. It opened its mouth and a long needle came out replacing the tougue, and it pointed to Caden.
