The day after Tomorrow

CHAPTER SIX

It's been 3 months since that painful night.

I still work at Angelo's Angle's but only as a bartender. After Theo I haven't been able to let anyone touch me. I now know its rape because I am underage. It didn't occur to me before but I want to stop all of the touching.

Toby is getting better. All thanks to Theo, He lied and said I went through it all till he fell asleep. Angelo gave me 50% of what Theo paid for me. I received $1000 for that night. I usually make that in a month, So it was a big help.

But I know I would have start doing extra around the club if I wanted that money again but I couldn't get myself to feel pain again. I hated it and I'm scared. Men are so dominant, they always get what they want so I try to keep my distance when I can.

On that tone the club phone rang. I held my breath being nervous, it could be anyone.

I answered the phone "Hello"

"Oh thank God, Ella is that you?"

"Mrs bay? What's wrong?" Now I'm scared, Mrs Bay looks after Toby when I am at work. She doesn't usually call unless there was an emergency.

"I'm sorry I tried calling your cell-phone but you wouldn't pick up. I dropped Toby at the police station. I had to go see my mum in Sydeny. She's ill and she doesn't have long"

"That's Ok Thanks for telling me Mrs bay I'll go pick him up now. Hope your mum gets better soon Mrs Bay." I hung up the Phone. I don't know what to do if I leave I won't get paid and if I don't get Toby then something will happen to him. Moving away from the bar I walk towards Angelo's office and knock on the door.

"Come in!" Angelo screamed from behind the door. I opened the door to find Angelo sitting on the desk completing some paper work.

"What can I help you with Angle?"

"Um I need to get Toby from the station" I said slowly looking at him.

Angelo put his pen down and said " Ella I understand how your close to Toby, But if you leave you won't be able to get paid...... unless you pick him up and come straight back and continue to work then I will let this one slide."

"Ok I will come back straight away I promise. Thanks Angelo I owe you one"

"That's fine just tell Havana to cover your shift till you get back"

"I will, thank you do much Angelo" I ran out the door to Havana's change room.

"Hey Havana, Angelo wants you take over my shift till I come back." As soon as I said I ran outside in the hot night and started running towards the police station.

It was a 15 minutes run. From the club but I didn't mind I just had to get Toby from the police. Toby hated them ever since they killed someone right in front of him. That's one story for another day.

I pushed the door opened and was greeted by an officer behind the desk.

"Hello what can I help you with?" She started talking when I stopped right in front of her.

Trying to catch my breath I slowly replied "I need to pick up my brother, Toby"

"OK let me have a look, how old are you miss?" she looked at me

Shit I know you have to be 18 to sign the documents " Um I'm 18"

"Do you have any ID?" she asked again.

"Um no I ran here I didn't think about my ID" I looked at her and gave her my pleading eyes.

"Ok that's fine you look 18, if you go through this first door ask for officer Bennett then he will let you sign some papers so you can take your brother home."

"Okay thank you so much" As I walked through the door, the men were all looking at me. I looked down to see if I was flashing anything but I saw that I was wearing black mini shorts and my black singlet. Maybe they could see my fat and didn't like it.

"Hi, Are looking for someone?" I turned around and saw a young male talking to me.

"Um yes, I'm looking for Officer Bennett?" I replied to him.

He looked shocked. "oh yes come right this way I will show you his office"

I nodded and followed after him.

"That's his door over their just knock before you enter"

"Ok thank you" I walked up to the door and knocked 3 times.

It had taken him 8 seconds to open the door. As soon as the door opened I saw the most unexpected person.

"Theodore?" Theodore was leaning against the door when the door had opened. Why did this feel like déjà vu.
