Chapter 7: Spending the Day Out

Eyebags visible. Like REALLY visible. They really both have a LONG night.

Getting up on her bed, Manilou opened her laptop and began reading manga. It's Saturday so, a new chapter was released and she won't miss this chance to savor every ounce of feels.

A beep was heard as the phone vibrated. Manilou reached to pick it up. It was a message from Jazer. Feeling giddy, she squealed. A HIGH pitch squeal that woke Mushu from his "great dragon" dream.

He groaned. "What?"

"Hngggggg~ well it's none other than Jazer! Lemme read the text for you..." She read the message out loud, enough for Mushu to hear. "Hey Mans, wanna chill at my house today? Mom and dad were out and I'm bored here as hell. We can watch movies or animes together. What do you say? P.S. Pretty pleaseeeeee~?" she screamed at the top of her lungs.

She typed the words 'Can I invite someone?' then not too long after that, the phone vibrated. It says 'Sure. You can invite your girlfriends.' She quickly asked Marinette and Alya if they are free today and could hang out at Jazer's. They said yes and might bring some company as well.

"Are you kidding me? Look here Manilou, you just have this relationship or whatever you have with Cat Noir. YOU EVEN KISSED HIM."

She interrupted. "Correction, he kissed me."

"Yeah, right. You just freaking let him." He rolled his eyes. "Ok so getting back to topic, where are we again?"

"Uhh...at my room?" she laughed nervously.

It's Mushu we're talking about here. Like, you absolutely don't want to mess with him when he just got up.

He glared at his owner. "Are you going to take this seriously or no? I mean, you could just let me sleep–"

"Ok fine. I was just joking you spoilsport... Anyways, so we are at the kissing thingy."

"No, no. Before that."

"Hmmm...having a relationship whatsoever?"

"Right. So as I was saying, there must be something going on between you two! You like the guy don't you? And nah-uh don't even think of denying it. I have known you for too long since I met you. THAT, I think is Deathwing's feelings and for the old Manilou, you like Jazer. Now, WHO DO YOU REALLY LIKE?! It's complicated... We both know that you only have one heart. And Deathwing's persona is you!"

She stayed silent for a while. "I know it will come to this...it's just–I don't know. It's confusing the hell out of me! How could I choose? Jazer's been with me for like, forever? And liked him ever since. Then this black cat popped out, complicating things and poof here goes my heart beating for him. I was just a normal girl with a normal life...until I FOUND THE STUPID CAT. And...you of course."

The conversation was put on hold when Marinette called her.

"Mans, I'll see you in 10 minutes. Better get ready ok? I've got Alya, Adrien and Nino with me by the way."

"Sure, sure. I'll be down in a jiffy. Ok, bye!" She hung up and the call ended.

She immediately rummaged to her closet and picked a white polo and black pants with silver chains hanging as attire. She got her glasses and put them on. She forcefully slipped Mushu inside her bag earning an objection.

"Sorry...we'll continue the conversation later. For now, I gotta run!" she went down the stairs and saw her mom and dad watching television. "Mom, dad, I'll be at Jazer's place with my friends coming over."

Her mom nods in approval. "Sure honey. But be back till 5."

"Will do mom! Bye dad!" she closed the door.

Alya, Marinette, Adrien and Nino happen to be there now as well.

"Hey guys, sorry for disturbing you on the hottest hour..."

"Don't sweat it. So...lead the way." Alya replied because Marinette is too busy admiring Adrien and Nino has his headphone on.

Manilou led them a few blocks away from her home. An apartment painted in brown towered before them. They rode an elevator to take them up on the 21st floor. At room 301, she pressed her hand to the scanner and let them in.

"You...got a pass?" Adrien asked, his eyebrows slightly twitching.

"Err...you can say that. We're close in the first place." She spotted her friend sitting on the sofa with a joystick at hand and playing Silent Hill. "Jaze, I'm here~"

He turned to look at her, a delightful smile adorning his face. "Good to have you here." He looked behind her back where the others are. "Hey guys."

"Hey." They all responded and sat on the couch.

"OMG. You're playing it again?! You finished this for how many times already!" she got the joystick from his hands. "Changing players~" she stuck her tongue out as she played and killed numerous zombies on her way.

"I'll go prepare us some snacks..." Jazer went to the kitchen. "If you guys want to play, the other joystick is under the table."

Adrien grabbed it immediately. "Allied? I'll play."

Nino and Alya noticed a chess board and asked for Jazer's permission to which he agreed. They play in turns and always end up in a draw.

Marinette is beside Adrien. She constantly puffs her cheeks so Adrien would let her play but he just wouldn't. She's starting to get jealous because Adrien and Manilou are so close to each other and clashing.

"No fair..." she whispered.

"Food is ready!"

"Coming~"

Everyone was at the dining table eating pizza and tacos when the television flashed a breaking news reporting a black panther wreaking havoc at the city. It is said to be aggressive because of the heat and knocked the caretaker out.

"I GOTTA GO!" Marinette and Adrien said in sync.

All eyes glues to them asking for explanation.

"Photoshoot. Sorry. I'll try to make it up next time."

"Uh...mom said to go home at..." she glanced at her watch. "3 p.m. because someone will drop by to get the special ordered cake and there's no one at home! Bye!" and she scurried away.

"Huh? Weirdos..." Manilou mouthed. She felt Mushu squirm inside her bag and excuse herself to use the restroom.

Mushu poked his head out of the bag. "You know you should transform anytime now..."

"I can't. I still don't know how to face the kitty. Besides, me leaving will make Jazer upset."

"Alright. Your choice." He hid inside the bag again.

Manilou went outside to continue eating her part of the pizza.

Alya and Nino bid their farewells as well as soon as they finished eating. You see, Alya figured that Ladybug will be at the scene and she has to feature this on her blog. Nino offered her his company to which she gladly took.

Jazer and Manilou were the only ones left inside the room watching anime movies and live action. With a platter of tortillas between them, they continued to watch though one often came in contact with the other's hand. Manilou tries to hide her blushing face. In an hour or so Cat Noir suddenly busted inside the chamber. She felt her face heat up, recalling the kiss last night.

"CAT NOIR?!" The couple freaked out. "What are you doing here?!"

"Just chilling. So what do we have here, my lady? Your boyfriend perhaps?" as much as it hurts for him, he needs to act cool especially with someone...

"NO!"

The pussycat's ears flinched. "Sheesh...a friend then." He breathed the sigh of relief. He swear he'll die right on the spot if he hears that they are going out.

Manilou smacked him at the back of his head. "What is your REAL business here?"

"Ok! I'll tell you!" he paused and hesitated for a moment but decided to continue on. "I'm jealous..."
