"Mummy, must I go to bed now? I'm not tired," little Snow White said as the queen tucked her into her large pink bed."Well, a princess must get her beauty sleep and we are going to King Alamos' ball with your father, aren't we?" The queen said as she tickled her daughters sides. "And Prince Colton is going to be there..." She said in a singsong voice.
"Mummy," Snow White said laughing, "I told you, I don't like Colton. He's too-"
A knock on the door interrupted Snow's statement. When it opened, Lester, one of the guards barged in and called for the queen.
"My queen," he bowed "the king requested your presence at once. He says it is at the upmost importance. " he said urgently.
The queen immediately jumped up and hurried out the door. Snow White assumed her mother knew what was so important.
"So important not to say goodnight?" Snow asked herself
She turned to her side with the soft, pink comforter was resting on her shoulders.
Every night, she always made a promise before she went to sleep. She was to fulfill it in the morning, so anything that went wrong today, she would fix tomorrow.
"I will be noticed in King Alamos' ball tomorrow. I will be the fairest princess of them all,"
And with that, she drifted off to sleep.
