As the author of this story, I am fully aware of the fact that my story is a bit similar to a Korean drama named To The Beautiful You. To clarify things, yes, I based this on that drama and in fact, this is a fan fiction of both To The Beautiful You and BTS, so please, I don't want anyone going around and telling people that I just stole the plot of my story. First of all, this is just similar with TTBY, but it doesn't have the same plot and story. If you have watched the drama already, you can point out the similarities and differences of Switched and TTBY, but if you haven't and you just decided to go along with the others, then watch it first before judging.
Secondly and lastly, it is impossible for writers to not somehow base their works on popular and famous movies, dramas, and books. I've read a few stories that are fan fictions of popular works and even if their plots aren't completely theirs, they still succeeded and their works stood out because of their plots itself and not because of the famous works that they're based on.
