All what I did the rest of the week was to think about that guy. Mr. I'm-handsome-and-charming guy. What the heck, Guren?! Why I was thinking about him that much? Was it because he had the same last name as Kureto? Yes, for sure that was the reason why, I never could be interested in him or something.
I was planning to ask him about it, just to get rid of my curiosity, and then forget him again. But how? How was I supposed to do that? Just going and ask him, "Hey, are you related with Kureto? Yes? No? Okay, bye." That was lame. Or maybe just forget him was the best option, even though he'd somehow caught me again. Fuck. I wanted to know about him, but I wanted to forget him so bad at the same time. What if I invited him to go to lunch and we started to talk, and maybe we became good friends? No way. I hated him, or maybe I didn't. No, of course I hated him.
I ended up deciding that I'll invite him to go to lunch, but that was just because I wanted to know if he was part of the Hiragi family or he just coincidentally had that last name too. And maybe I would apologize for being that rude back then. Well, apologizing isn't proper of mine, but some excuse had to appear.
The next day I went to the Social Services department. I went with the receptionist to ask for Mr. Hiragi. She seemed familiar from the distance. Short height, purplish hair. I suddenly realized that I knew her. Another Hiragi working there, what a surprise.
"Hey, Shinoa. I didn't know you were working here, that's a great surprise, really."
I said sarcastically as I approached to where she was, leaning and resting an elbow on the counter. Yes, I also knew her. The youngest Hiragi member. That pompous, annoying girl. Being a petulant was something that characterized that family.
"Oh, Guren. I must say the big surprise is that you still are working here. It's incredible how my brother hasn't fired you yet. I think he likes you, that's why he is keeping you here."
She replied to me, smirking. That child was odious, and she never got tired of repeating that she was a Hiragi, and that his brother was in charge of the company. Kureto didn't like her either, he didn't like anyone, though.
"Shut up, kid. Anyway, I was looking for someone in this department, his name is Shinya Hiragi."
After saying the name of the person I was looking for, I realized that I shouldn't have asked her for that. She wouldn't stop teasing me for it. But I had no clue of him and I had to ask her anyways, that was her job after all.
"Huh? So you are searching for the director of this department, aka, cough, cough, my other brother?"
She wiggled her eyebrows, smirking. Here she was again, bragging of being a Hiragi. Well, whatever. I really didn't care about her social status, but the girl was annoying, always repeating it. And then she had cleared my doubt, That guy was a Hiragi, that was for sure. I guessed that I had nothing to do there then. But I had already asked for him, and I wanted to know, if he was a Hiragi, why I had never seen him before.
"Just tell me if he's here or not, I had to attend other businesses."
Footsteps approached, followed by a soft, nice, but intense male's voice.
"I just heard that someone is looking for me. Isn't that true, Shinoa-chan?"
A giggle of some girls that were just walking through the reception made its appearance. They were looking flirtatiously at the male who was right behind me. How annoying. I turned around to face the guy. He was dressed up in a classic black suit, white shirt and a blue tie that just accentuated the hue of his eyes. His gray platinum hair was combed back in the left side of his head, leaving bangs down on the right side of his forehead.
"You heard it right, Shinya-san. Guren is looking forward to see you."
The girl didn't know when to shut up. Whatever. It wasn't like that was a lie anyway. But she bothered me. At that point I just had to invite the guy to go to lunch, ask him what had me concerned, and that was all. Bye Mr. Charmings.
"Yes. I haven't introduced myself properly. I'm Guren Ichinose, I work at the Finance department."
I introduced myself, just to look professional. I gave my hand to him, receiving a smile and a strong but gentle hand shake that sent me shivers all way through my spine. Yeah, that was the weirdest thing I'd ever felt. Ignoring that reaction, I just proceeded.
"There are some issues that I would like to discuss with you. If it's possible, tomorrow at lunch time will be convenient for me."
"I have no objection with it. Shall we meet at the café that is right sideways to the building?"
"Perfect. See you later."
He nodded with a half smile, and walked away from us. Just by then I realized that I had been holding my breath all this time.
