Behind Closed Doors

Chapter 5

It's already 11:00 pm and I can't get myself to sleep. Maybe it's just because I'm thirsty. Yeah that's probably it. I go out of the dorm and into the shop that stays open 24/7. It's on our floor and you could find anything there. I just bought a carton of milk and went back to my dorm.

As I'm drinking the cup of milk I realize that I need to use the bathroom. I walk in the bathroom and see Tyler brushing his teeth. I almost forgot he was staying over.

" Sorry I'll come back later" I say quickly.

" It's fine, I'm finished anyway" he responds while rubbing his mouth with a small towel.

The little movements that he does make me go crazy. I don't really know how I'm feeling but whatever I'm feeling I know it can't be right.

" Is Dinah asleep?" I ask.

" Yeah and I was going to stay here actually" he says confidently with a smirk on his face.

" Okay whatever" I say over my shoulder as he walks out of the bathroom.

After a minute or so, I get out of the bathroom and head straight to my bed. I know that Tyler is just laying there on the other side of the room. I can feel his eyes on me. Oh what am I thinking, why would he be looking at me anyway?

The alarm clock starts to beep at 6:00 am. I always wake up early because I like to prepare everything for my classes. I try to keep quite because I don't want to wake Tyler and Dinah up. I know she doesn't like to wake up until 7:30.

I look at Tyler. I know he can be rude and mean but he sleeps like an angel. Okay I've got to stop being such a creep and get on with my shit.

I go to my first class, chemistry. Sometimes I regret taking that class but I can't just drop it. I want to make my parents proud and taking chemistry really helps.

Time passed pretty quickly and I'm heading to the last class, dance class. I decided to take a contemporary dance class. I've been told I'm a good dancer before, well only by my parents which doesn't really say much. I love doing it though, it helps me escape the real world out there and I relax myself. 

The class finished already and now I'm just waiting for Tammy so we could grab lunch together. She always keeps me waiting and I hate that but she's finally here.

" Come on Alex because I'm so hungry" she says. How is she always so hyper? That I don't understand but I love her so much. She always lightens up my mood.

" Well I was waiting for you" I say trying to sound serious but she just bursted out laughing and I joined her.

We had lunch with Naomi, Ally, Ryder and Jordon. Evan didn't come today because he's sick. You could see the difference without him. It was so much quieter. I actually miss him.

" So guys did you hear about the party Anne is throwing tonight?" Ryder asks.

" Another party?" I ask confused. They all laughed at me like I just said something dumb.

" There are parties every single weekend" Naomi says. Oh wow I'm not used to all these parties. " Oh okay" is all I say.

" We should go" Ally said.

" I go if you go" Tammy told me and now everybody is just looking at me waiting to give an answer.

" Uh sure I guess but this time I can't stay late" I say.

" Yayyy okay let's go to the dorms now and I'll see you tonight" Tammy tells them.

We just said our goodbyes and leave. We are going to another party and once more I have nothing to wear and I don't want any bullshit from Tyler if he'll be there. Wow it's like Tammy just read my mind. My phone buzzes and I see a message from her: 1 hour before we leave be at my dorm and don't do your hair or anything, leave that to me.

I'm so excited all of a sudden. I never used to care about what people will say about my choice of clothing but somehow Tyler always gets to me. I really don't like how I feel when he says shit about my clothes.

As time passes I decide to leave my dorm. I was going to tell Dinah that I'm leaving but she wasn't there. She's probably also going to Anne's party.

I knock on Tammy's door and her roommate opens it for me. " Hi I'm Lissa" she says with a smile on her face. She seems so nice. " Hey Lissa, I'm Alex, is Tammy here?" I ask. " Yeah come in" she tells me.

" Alex!!!!!!" Tammy yells. " Come here, let's get started" she tells me excitedly.
