Behind Closed Doors

Chapter 9

I wake up early in the morning to get ready for my first class, Biology. I put on a light blue skinny jeans and a white T-shirt. I'm trying not to wake them up because Dinah will be mad especially since Tyler is also sleeping next to her.

I get a text from Tammy saying that she's not feeling very well, she thinks she has the flu or something so she won't make it to any of the classes today.

I go to the biology lab. I'm the first one who gets there but I enter anyway. After a few minutes, others started to come in and now the professor finally did. I really like biology especially at the moment since we are learning about the human body.

The bell rang. Wow that was quick. I didn't even notice the lesson was soon over.

I head to my next class, chemistry, and I'm actually a bit late to this one because everybody is here, even Tyler and the professor. I sit down, get my books out and just stare at them.

"Listen everybody, we have a new student in our class. Troy Willows. Make him feel welcome!"

As I hear his name I look up and I see that that is the same  guy from yesterday. He eyes the lab and spots me. I give him a smile and he came here.

"Is this seat taken?" I shake my head and he sits next to me. "Hey" he says and I reply with a simple hey back. Okay I know I'm trying to act normal but I'm just excited okay?okay.

The bell rings and I feel a bit awkward. Like do I talk to him or do I leave? I don't even know. I put my books in my bag and I see that Tyler is still there. It's like he's waiting for me to leave or something.

"Wanna go for an ice cream after classes?" Troy asks me. Ice creams are like one of my favourite things. Especially with freaking Troy. "Sure" I reply with a smile on my face. He returns the smile. "Meet me at the gate after the last class" I nod my head and head out. Damn I wish I was more sociable. It'd definitely be helpful.

Tyler sees me "Hey Alex." That's weird, he just called me by my name and not one of his stupid nicknames. "Hey" I reply. 

"You know that new guy? I'm only asking because maybe he's good at football and wants to join our team."

"Yeah I do. Troy is the guy I was talking about yesterday. I don't know if he likes football but I could ask him later." He had a look on his face like always. Like he gets annoyed when we talk or something but yeah I'm sure it's just nothing so I walked away.

I went to my other classes and they also passed pretty quickly. Not like I'm complaining or anything cause I was excited to go out with Troy. It's just an ice cream though so no big deal.

I head out of the gate and find a place to sit. Well not for long cause I see Troy walking towards me. "Hi" I say. "Hey Alex, so there's this ice cream parlour not so far, wanna walk it?" "Sure" I say.

We walked for about 10 minutes and talked about random stuff all the way. When we arrived he ordered our ice creams. A chocolate chip one for him and a minty one for me. Finally I ask him the question I've been wanting to ask him. "How come you came to this school now?"

"Well we move a lot because of my dad's job. We are not even sure we'll stay here long but I hope so cause I never felt this welcome in 6 schools. I hated being the new guy every time"

"What does your dad do?" I ask before I eat a spoon of ice cream.

"Well he has his own company"

"Oh wow okay" 

We talk some more about random stuff and when we're about to leave he pays for both ice creams. We start to talk and then I remember Tyler's question.

"Do you like football?" I ask him.

"Well of course! Who doesn't?!"

"My best friend's brother Tyler asked me if you would like to join their football team. They win a lot"

"Sure then why not?"

We are now behind my door and as we're about to say our goodbyes Tyler walks out and it's like time froze cause no one said a word until.." Uh Hey I'm Troy" he says and I nod. "I'm Tyler..did you ask him?" 

"Yes and you said yes right?" I look at Troy and he just nods.

"Well cool we have practice everyday after classes..see ya around" Tyler says.

"Thank you for today Troy" I say with a smile  on my face.

"My pleasure Alex"

Uhm what happens now. "See you soon" he tells me after giving me a small and cute hug. 

"See you" with that smile still on my face. Well that's what happens I guess, I like it.

I walk in my room and Dinah is there ready to say something. "Heard you talking, how was your date?"

"It wasn't a date" I reply annoyed not even knowing if I wanted it to be a date or not. She finally shuts her mouth. Damn I miss Tammy. I really hope she gets better soon. I need her ass back!!

I take a quick shower and go to bed. After listening to a few songs by Rihanna. I fall asleep with the headphones still in my ear and just thinking about everything..
